Yeah,I'm still feeding.
Since coco is technically hydro, you don't need to flush as long.Coco doesn't retain nearly as many nutrients as soil,so what you give it is pretty much what it gets.
I hope that made sense,I'm still a little tired.
makes a lot of sense, you dont even know how much that helps. funny, a lot of the flush advice that ive been getting is coming from FFsoil growers, i didn;t even think about that, i use sunhine pro 4 mix, soiless too. how long you gonna flush, thanks so much bro!

I'll probably flush for a week or so.
I'm feeding one untill I chop it to see what the difference in taste will be(if any).
I've done a lot of research on flushing and there are always mixed feelings about the subject. Many people believe that it's all about the drying/curing process and many other believe flushing helps a lot too.
Well,I'll be drying/curing them exactly the same,so I should be able to make my own decision.

looking great bro, very purple! im still 10 days behind you, waiting for your lead bro, good luck! i like how your gonna use the same drying/curing techniques so you can guage if your flushing them correctly! cheers on taking chances and experimenting bro!

Bad ass grow man. It looks crazy. I was wondering a few things tho while i was thumbing through this. What are the dimensions of that closet? How many plants you got in there? Would you consider this a good strain for a beginning indoor grower to start with?

Grow on.

I don't know if that's from the same breeder or not,but it is a pretty good strain. And I'm very happy with the finish time.

That's what it's all about, don't listen to all the hype and find out what works yourself.
I'm not saying research doesn't help, but if something hasn't been proven to you from all the research then why not figure out once and for all.
On one hand I could end up with a bad tasting plant,on the other hand if I did in fact come to the conclusion that flushing doesn't have much of an effect and I didn't have to do it for the rest of my life.Well that information would be priceless.:)

The closet is 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 and there are six plants in there.Five Sweet Tooth and one Orange Kush.
Yeah,I would definitely recommend this strain to beginners.Considering this is my third grow(first with this strain)and I didn't run into many problems with it.

Thanks again!

Here's a before and after of the water that I just flushed brand new Botanicare coco with.
A little better than Sunleaves,I was really surprised at the PH.It took 5 gallons of water to bring this batch (which was about 4 gallons of coco)down to the 130's and a PH of 5.9.
And a pic of some bud that I'm smoking on,I was told it's Chemdawg.

I said there would be donkey dicks, did I not?
Damn they are looking sweeeet!

About the flushing etc.. My first grow i used nothing but PH'd rain water all through flowering, the dankest s**t i have smoked yet, tasted spot on and burnt into almost nothing, no black bits and no harsh taste.. :eyesmoke:
The girl I just chopped didn't really get a chance to get flushed as good as she could of but she was hang dried for longer than my first grow and then was jarred, burped and fluffed properly until they were nice and dry, then just burped everyday. The smoke is getting better as the days roll by, she burns perfect and the taste and smell is getting stronger everyday, so I reckon it doesn't matter too much, just as long as the buds get cured properly etc.. if the plant doesn't get a good flush then just try and hang and cure it for longer before you toke up... sorry for rambling, i'm pretty baked.. :eyesmoke:

Day 57 of flower
I'll probably take the sweet tooth down friday.
It smells like pineapples or something of that sort,I can't put my finger on it.I'm not a huge fan of pineapples but I'll deal with it:D.

I flushed using advanced nutrients final phase for a day(probably not necessary, but it will be usefull with the little experiment)and PHed reverse osmosis water for the rest of the way.
I still don't understand why you should even take the time to ph the water since there are no nutrients in the water to even be available, and if there are you don't want them to be available that's the point of flushing.I did however PH the water.
Distilled is the best for flushing, when I tested the tds of distilled water I think it was 2 ppm.The water from my RO unit is about 10ppm.Those extra 8ppm won't make a difference in the flush though.
I have the worst tap water I've ever heard of,it's seriously in the 600's,I wouldn't bring it anywhere near my plants.

thanks so much bro, i put a 30gal tupperware of tap water in my bathroom, gonna try the "let the water sit" method. im in so cal, i own a house right next to the mountains. my tap is great, sits at 7.5PH. ive been using it straight from the tap all grow, i ph it before i feed it of course. so well see. i got a couple of days to wait till i flush, till i make my final decision. thanks for all the help again, and check out my grow when you get a chance, i need all the help i can get this first round!

Day 60 of 12/12
Chopped 'em a couple of hours ago and just got finished hanging them up.
I'm letting the Orange Kush go untill it looks done,I started flushing it yesterday.

Pic one shows that there are also some blue leaves.Pics two and three showing the stalks.I was LMAO when I saw them, they look ridiculous. It's crazy that all those branches were from these short of stalks.Anyway, pics four and five show them hanging and drying. And pic six a closeup.

Thanks D!
Got 'em down, now comes the hard part:sleep:.
I wish I could get ahold of some of that querkle that you're doing.I guess I'll just have to wait a few months for my grape krush.
