They look just fine for day 24 12/12 :-) hopefully they are done stretching. The other side must be doing a little better simple because the plant in the area is doing better.
I wouldnt be worried.

This is my SCROG after stretch during the first grow. It's rather painful to look at, isn't it? I believe the branches are ridiculously high, the plants are not spread out evenly across the screen, and I did a piss poor job of trimming.

Id say it looks like you are doing much better :-) wasn't really even doing bad to begin with.
That strain in particular is just such a heavy resin producer your not gonna get giant buds, I would be happy with that. Also, Id recommend trying out another strain for next run, to give you some variety in smoke. Iv seen people run different strains in one system with and without success. I generally like growing one strain in a system though it did work out for me once when I accidentally place a wrong clone in the group of four. Fortunately both strains had similar feeding habits :-)

Thanks, friendlies. I have a love/hate relationship with SCROG. I love providing equal light to all buds, hate being at the mercy of the screen during flower. This main-lining business is sounding more and more attractive.

And yes, four plants is still too many. I'm going to order another 2x2 Botanicare and grow two plants in each tray. I like my setup too much to change equipment.

Thanks again for your helps.

I have an amateur theory as to why my first crop was so over-the-top frosty. Could severely low nighttime temps cause plants to produce more resin in order to protect themselves? It dropped down to 48 degrees fahrenheit several times, with low to mid-50's being the norm throughout flower. My friend raised the same clones and they were nowhere near as frosty and thin as mine.

Was he in dirt or hightech hydro like you? My buds are frosty as fuck and my friends dirt girls are nowhere near with the same strains. Hydro make the frosted flakes :):):)

Yeah, he grows soil so it's a bad comparison. It was interesting noting the results of his soil+400HPS setup compared to my hydro+300LED. I yielded slightly more with smaller frostier buds. His buds were generally bigger and tasted a bit better, but nowhere close to the full potential of his space. I'm not a better grower, I just obsess/research more (minus the whole LED believer part - heh).

Dudes, my marijuana plants are STILL stretching. It's Day 26 of 12/12. Granted, they're fat and not shooting up like the last time, but this strain is a fucking nightmare and I'll be glad when it's over. lol I swear the flower cycle depresses me. Veg is like heaven; it's fun, it's easy, everyone is happy and playing harps etc. Flower reminds me of that reoccurring dream where a mad man is chasing me and my legs don't work. I feel completely hapless. It's probably the opposite for other people. Flower is when the goods arrive. idk.

Flowering always feels like a whole other life time for me. Its worse at times like right now when I'm almost out of bud, its not as bad if I'm not waiting I guess.

I could see that having an effect, but I agree it's probably more to do with soil vs hydro and grower skill. I have heard that high temps will cause increased resin, but I can't say I've heard anyone talk about cold temps. I think most growers have more trouble with high temps than low temps. ;)

Your plants look great to me. What are you concerned about? It looks like you have plenty of vertical to finish out the grow.

Thanks, Hiker. It just feels overgrown and out of control, like I made the same mistakes from my last grow. I'm beginning to hope the issue has more to do with this mutt strain, than my timing in SCROG.

Day 28 of 12/12

My plants are still stretching. Hell, this is the stretch. I swear this canopy is growing two inches per day. The tallest branches are 12 inches above the screen. The base of the stalks are one inch in diameter. Everything below the screen was trimmed on day 20 of 12/12, and I've been plucking fan leaves every two days.

I'm feeding 7, 12, 20 ml/gal of BPN MICRO, GROW, BLOOM, with 8 ml/gal of Early Bloomer and 6 ml/gal of Liquid Bloom (Early Bloomer drops to 2ml tomorrow). My ppm sits between 1400 and 1500. I top off with a gallon of fresh well water every other day, and include one part nutrients once a week. My pH is 5.7 and wants to go lower, so I continue adding non-ph'd water. I think the plants look healthy. Although, a few fan leaves in the center seem to be yellowing more than the others. I'm not sure if that's normal or whoat.

Bear with me. A new camera is in the works.

:peace:

Bro your trippin, you know when people on RIU say " ill teach you how to cram for a better yield "? Pic two ^^^ looks like you crammed 100 SOG plants right next to each other. I think it looks great. The only way you could have done better is if you would have made a stadium style screen....shucks, maybe next time huh lol

:) Rad. Any guess on yield? I didn't even weigh my last grow.

Eight to ten. Just a guess, well see what happens. If theres anything below your screen, id take it off., the lack of light will make for fluffy buds. Your dense so even the ones getting shade will be fluffy. If you can move the whole deal a coup,e inches in any direction without fekin anything up it may not be a bad idea from time to time just to change angles a little. :):):)

They look like they are setting flowers well now, i know i said it before but they gotta be about done stretching. I've had the same issue this grow around, but I think mine is finally done.

I'd be happy with 7oz, so I really like both of those guesses. :D

Frostiness has ensued. The plants stopped stretching the night of my last update, and I'm feeling a little better about flower growth.
