i got a friend wit net access, ill have pics and a journal later this week. good look with all the advice, i couldnt do it w/o u all. two fingers

Well, for hydro growing, your medium is usually inert, meaning that it won't provide any nutrition by itself. So it's just a place for the roots to anchor the plant, and the nutrient solution to flow through.

cool. i got a photobucket account, trying to work it out wit my cell phone. as for the soil and lavarocks, will any small rocks do say ones found walkin on a trail? or no

If you just can't afford a few bucks for hydroton, then pea gravel will work, or lava rock, or small river rock.

cool, will do. thanks for the info. rocks have fell to #2 on my grow priority list, getting my pix from photobucket to here properly. i dont believe i have the correct code or i am placing it in the wrong place, any istruction how to properly would be greatly appreciated. til next time good burning, two fingers
