Sub Forum Ideas

Hey Guys,

With the new design coming I would like to do a full restructure of how the forums are layed out, if you would like subforum somewhere or thing we should split sections let me know.

I think it'd be a good idea to have a micro grow section.
With the CFL sub section, as most people use CFLs in micro grows.

I'll think of more :D

Literature sub forum would be pretty cool too, not sure where you could put that, Toke n Talk?

again putting in the idea for a "private" forum... probably best in the social groups or something... where you have to be invited or a part of a certain group to be able to view the posts in a thread....

Senior growers section, for those elders just now learning, seeking advice from their age group. Older folks think different than younger folks and aren't so prone to rookie mistakes, because they will do the research before asking for help.

just dont categorize things in such a fashion that shit is confusing. i like the overall of the site right now... too many subforums would segregate content... i don't want to click on 5 different things to see a tiny amount of posts. lol.

just my opinion.

Oh, and adding a drop-down to the faq's would be an improvement. That way, when we refer a noob to the faq's by site-link, it might say "cloning" instead of "FAQ's" which many new members seem to begrudge.

id like to see a monthly poll (maybe site news sub-cat)done by the site voted on by everyone. on a car forum im on they do ROTM (ride of the month) every month.you submit your car and its put in the running for the next months poll. anyone that wants to submit their car submits a few photos (engine bay,interior,exterior etc). then the mods post the top 5 cars and are voted on by the users for a whole month. it is regulated though and you can only vote once. we could do something like that maybe like bud OTM or i saw a thread from newgrowth about having mentors and voting on one every month. that seemed like a really good idea too. you could replace the random thumbs on the homepage and put the best picture from each of the contestants there. you could give the winner an award for the month. something to consider

I think there should be a "Micro Grow" sub-forum under "Grow Room Design and Setup"

I've made several threads expressing my opinion about this, and i'm glad that i stumbled upon this thread started by rollitup himself.

I think moving the DIY sub to the Room design & set up makes sense. Most DIY stuff is geared towards indoor/grow room anyways.

Just a thought.

Lol, if you read the first link of the three on my second post, i was on a rant! I was a little too overcooked and the words were just flowing from my fingertips onto the computerscreen.

But yes! There is a new revolution amongst us. The micro grow is becoming something that more people and more are moving to every day...

Uk and Ireland sub would be a grand idea. Be real helpful for outdoor, greenhouse and product info.

with all the elictric questions there should be an elictrical sub form in the diy. may the restructure go bug free.
