Su^'s led test

For an LED test the plants look very nice. LED does pretty good for what they are.
I still use them and and am pretty happy ( lower heat issue ) for my limited space and they give some nice tight nugs.

The heat they dont produce is a great plus. I'm just curious to see the final product, I've grown both strains several times so I know what both are capable of. From what you post I shouldn't have a problem pulling density from these lights or the cobs that will replace these.

Happy plants are happy plants, they are definitely on track just like under an hps light but only time will tell.

Yeah the SIMPLE ANSWER is that MORE LIGHT gives better results in yield and light penetration . BUT LEDs can grow some respectable bud , but most posters get caught up on "volume" or the " pounds " pulled.

LED guys always get the flack from HID guys ( i say whatever ) because i go for quality bud - dense , frosty and " Terpy ". It is known that LED grows have a very good terpene profile compared to other systems. I'm not interested in turning my grow room into an oven ... I have limited spaces and concentrate on quality much more than 20 or more plants.

I will definitely follow your grow ... It looks bomb :weed:

Today is 2 weeks for the big girl and tomorrow is 3 weeks for the slipper. The glass slipper is starting to eat more but everything looks great.

Don't mind my white board it's for my girlfriend if she is ever required to water if I'm gone. It's just genrealized organics feed schedule 20160418_060042.jpg

Looks like they like it so far... Got a link to somewhere we can look at the claimed specs and info for the light?

Resin is starting to pack on. Curious to see how dense the flowers will be, should have a good idea after week 6.

What do the power supply markings look like? Is it four 200w supplies? You can't even normally buy four 200w supplies for $120, and you got some nice reflectors with it too. I probably wouldn't use the whole fixture though, too closely spaced for good distribution.

I'll pull one apart later to see what's inside the box, my guess is 2 100 watt supplies. I agree with you, too close for good distribution unless you have a small space and wanna keep this light for only 1 or 2 plants or vegging. using these as supplemental lights would also be beneficial in my opinion.

The best feature about the light is the ability to daisy chain them if you wanted to run a couple in a small space. For the price the lights will easily pay for themselves at this point in product production.

They look fine. That was quite a buy. You got lucky there. Even cheap cobs put out plenty of light, if you're not worried about power costs. I'd take it apart and mount the cobs on good round heat sinks though, either with the fans or not. Since you have 4 fans might as well use them.

I agree, I'm sure I'll figure out a good way to utilize these parts when I decide to take them apart. If I was growing a single plant this light would be a great deal.
