Love the HLG products. There may be better lights out there, but I don't need any better. I have a 260v2 in a 3x3 closet, 2 135v2's in a 3x4 closet, and a 65 for seeds and clones. I have spare blurples if you want them :)

Oh, and $$$-wise, it started with the 260. Loved it and got a 135 for veg. Got a second 135 later on to even out the tent, then realized the 2 135's were basically another 260... So after I built a second grow room I had to get the 65 LOL Took about a year.

I just budget what I used to spend on weed for whatever I need to get.

nice yea for me budget is the biggest issue now because my mom passed away a few days ago so gotta pool in more money for everything. my sister is probably going to move back in with us and tbh she shouldn't even have left to begin with i mean our house is literally bigger then her apartment. once i get my tent set up and the vents and all that saving for the lights will be easier but because i had to buy a better light ontop of the new tent pretty much spent a lot on those 2 alone. i mean right now what i can get off my current light is okay with me im not super worried about upgrading i'll be content with my yields and all that so i have a lot of time to save up.

Sad news. Sorry for your loss.
I think you'll be pleased. Think "dense". The light penetration is awesome, and they'll drink loads more water - and nutes - which probably helps with the density.

I did it stupid though, and started with a small blurple, then got a bigger blurple before I "saw the light" LOL It took my first QB grow to produce enough to last through the next grow.

thank you. yea i did the same as you i have a cheap 75W blurple then moved onto the king plus 2000w now to the QB's. i only bought the king plus because at the time i needed something badly and was broke to afford the QB's as well as impatient. for me i don't smoke that often anymore so my last harvest lasts until the next extremely easily.

Temp - 79.1F RH- 68%

plants look the same to me as yesterday today is the end of week 4 since flip. i did see some run off on pheno 2 but not a lot maybe about 1/8th a cup or less. think i should of let them run 1 more day before watering so 4 days without watering.

no updates on the tent or lights otherwise im expecting both to ship out next week after i read about some bomb cyclone maybe there are delays due to the snow/weather i think they could also be waiting for my lights to also ship out as well do it all 1 time

If anyone ever asks, a single 135v2 will grow a respectable single plant. I have 2 and will see how they do with 4 plants. Keeping the pots small so there's room.

I bought mine through Growers Lights and they were able to provide better info than I got from the HLG website. Such as the optimum height from the canopy is about 18" in veg, then 12" in flower - which is where thy get their "footprint" data. During the flip you just lower it an inch-ish a day. Any sign of issues and raise them back up, but that will produce the fatness.

Last trick that I figured out on my own, is that you don't want a lot of fans blowing around. I had temp issues constantly when I got started with them, but because they have no cooling fans it's a game changer.

I added fans, moved them around, oscillating and not - nothing.

I said screw it, unplugged all but one little usb/phone-charger oscillating desk fan on the tops and I went to look online for an answer.
Found nothing useful. went back to check on the plants and the temp was at 78.

What works for me is a small fan blowing on low speed across the tops, and the exhaust fan does the rest. Heat rises. Duh! :wall:

My conclusion was that the blurples already blew hot air all over the place anyway, so more fans is better. With the heat sink, all you need to do is suck the hot air out of the top. You still need fans for the plants to keep air circulating, but bump up the exhaust when you add one.

With the cheap little fans, you just have to make sure it has a mechanical on/off switch. I got one that has little push-buttons for each speed, but it doesn't come back on when the timer says so...

yea i bought mine from growers light as well but only issue with mine is i bought it pre assembled and tested. i figured it shouldn't take them that long to assemble it yet alone test it but sadly it has taken them almost 2 weeks now just to do so since i purchased it. it's not a huge deal as long as i get it and works im fine with waiting. i just bought it that way because im paying a lot of money i don't want it to get here then find out it's not working and im not good with assembling things like this so i don't trust myself but next time i will do it myself. i know how it's just i don't want to deal with the issues incase i messed up or something isn't working correctly. with this one i had lots of time since i had to move everything and i still have to move stuff to make room for the tent. overall though company is decent rates are cheap for me.

I thought the same thing. and figured the $25 was worth the piece of mind, but I got on their chat before I ordered, and the guy told me that the assembled one would take 2-4 weeks , but he could have it to me unassembled in 3 days, and could talk me through any issues. I took the chance. It's an easy assemble. The only thing I triple-checked was "stoner-wiring" since the wire colors don't match. but they have diagrams online.
After seeing all the monster lights they make, If I could do it over I would get the 135's (or the 160's if they are ever in stock), and buy them one at a time and grow my area 2' at a time as I could. I like being able to dedicate one light to a plant or 2.

Not sure about the 320, but the 260 is basically 2 135 boards together, I assume the 320 is 2 of the 160's. I actually thought about taking apart the 260 and slicing the heat-sink in half so I can have individual heights. I also tried this (pic) when I had just one in flower which gave me that idea. they could run on the same driver still. All that would be between them would be the skinny connector wires for the boards.

yea i don't think i checked until after i bought it because after the 1st time i asked the question and they didn't even respond. i also asked another question and again they didn't even respond. had i known this i probably would of taken my chances already looked up how to set it up prior to purchasing. i got the xl which is 3 boards not 2 the v1 i think is only 2 boards but the v2's have different boards i believe and supposed to be better quality boards and save more money on electricity ontop of that.

the biggest concern for me is just receiving it. it's unpredictable who will be home is anything to sign and i can't just leave a note i believe i read the fine print. other then that it's easy after setting it up and all that. the tent is the most important part for me though

plants look the same to me as yesterday. they need to be watered on sunday. today is the start of week 5 since flip. if anyone was wondering the photo of the 1 top is the same exact top i don't take pics of different tops daily the range of how close i am to the photo's do vary as i take it via my phone so it may look big or small due to that distance i take them at but it is the same exact top just for comparison reasons on a daily basis.

tent and lights still not moving not entirely sure wth is going on i got a few ideas of why it is taking so long

1. Bomb cyclone maybe stopped transportation due to safety reasons.
2. tent is in mid transit to california with no updates until it gets there
3. they are trying to ship both tent and lights at the same time
4. tent actually shipped but they failed to update; i've had this happen a lot with USPS which it is coming from they will ship an item via priority mail but don't update the tracking info and it just shows up at my door.

plants need to be watered either today or tomorrow pot still feels somewhat moist but they could use a watering it's been 3 days already. yesterday was hot as shit i watched my temps climb up to i think 85F it is supposed to be cooler this weekend but idk it's just straight up hot now.

pistils are starting to turn orange slowly but other then that i think this strain will take a long time to finish usually by now for me the buds are more formed then they are currently.

still waiting on the tent/lights. tent is still in "pre shipment" i am almost certain now that they just created the label and are actually waiting for the lights to ship the 2 at once. maybe they get a discount idk.

plants need to be watered tonight or tomorrow idk when i will get it done but i will. just went back to work today thus update is late. tired as hell work is super fucked up right now only got about 3 of us working and then it's just 2 of us closing.

no updates on my tent or lights yet. im getting worried because i ordered them about 3 weeks ago i think.. but the tent says it shipped to santa rosa california almost a week ago but still nothing. i got time but it's just like im worried that this company who is supposed to be reliable will fuck me over and steal my money. don't want to deal with customer service. waiting until friday then i am going to contact them about the tent. lights are supposed to ship this week they stated

pots need water but imma try wait until tomorrow and see how they do they feel dry though. no luck on the packages yet

UPDATE- watered 3gals ( 1gal per plant ) water is getting dark green cause the barrel i am taking it from is getting super low. wont run out of water though we have more barrels that are full then tons of 5gal buckets along with that plus it is going to start raining again in april usually it rains.

plants are smelling really sweet has a strawberry smell to them but it's extremely sweet and if it tastes like what it smells then damn.. i will be happy. to me it smells like one of those generic strawberry flavored desserts
