Strain identification... im a total newb haha

Is it possible to identify a strain of a plant from pictures? before budding? I'm the stupid idiot who didnt think to ask when I purchased the clones. I am clearly a first time grower... long time smoker though. Any thoughts?


On a side note a couple of my plants have been through some rough shit at their old location. Now that I have them grouped with the rest they have been doing fine. Should I expect them to bud at the same time? They are significantly shorter.

Nope, too many out there.
All you can do is guess, fat leaves mean indica dominate and thin sativa.


Plants bud once the lighting is right, dont matter the size.

There's not much you can do to identify the strain now. Just look at this as a learning experience and get to know your plants as they're growing. All of your plants will start budding/flowering as soon as they start getting 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness every day, regardless of how big or how old they are. Your plants may double in size after you start flowering them, so use the final desired height as a guideline on when to start giving your plants the 12 hours of darkness each day. Also, make sure their "night" time starts and ends at the same time every day. Happy Growing!
