Hey All,
Despite what StinkBud says about RubberMaid totes not leaking, mine leaked around the edges a lot, but I found a way to stop the leaks: Apply a thin layer of vaseline or axle grease to the top edge of the tub, then apply a bead of silicon caulk to the inside rim of the lid where the top edge of the tub will contact it. Put the lid on and let sit for 24 hours. The grease will prevent the silicon from sticking to the tub, but it will still stick in a tub form-fitting shape to the lid ...basically you achieve a silicon gasket stuck to the lid that will stop all leaks. After it cures, wipe off the grease, and you're done with leaks forever.
