2" is more than enough. I was using 1" black vinyl before and that was my problem. So I went to 2" which is 4X the room for water to flow through and now you can't even tell the pump is on when you look at the res.

P.s.
Don't Use AIRSTONES, and if you build your manifold with 3/4" PVC and 1/2" connections to each site, 600gph is MORE than enough. 1000 most likely will be strained by the small outlet size and get hot in your water. You definitely do not want that.

Yeah I did 3/4" black vinyl and it was my problem last time as well. lol... Not enough circulation and uneven growth, one bucket out of the four containers would always go beat mode.

The thing I liked about the 1000gph pump is that it is an adjustable pump. So I could reduce it if needed. (and it's only ~$20 more than a 600gph pump).

I plan to run the pump inline, versus putting it into the res. (But since your setup seems fairly similar... does the inline warm up the water a degree or two, or is it negligible?) I had it inline last time and my water temperature was exactly where I wanted it, so I do not want to add any more heat to the water. (I had airstones last time to so I'm wondering if that may also have been adding heat to the water).

I wish my pump was inline. I have a 1600gph one that can be inline, but my design has the returns coming Into the front of the res where the in line feed would need to come from.
I could I guess plumb it differently and have it come out of the back or side maybe..

Like most of the projects I've started, this one is a work in progress. I didn't get any algae growth on this run, system temps usually stayed in the low 70's so I'm always concerned about pythium. I picked up a 1/4hp chiller so next season so I'll be insulating the totes and painting the lids, plumbing in the chiller, adding an external drain for the dehuey and remote mounting all of the led drivers outside the room.
I'm currently in trim jail, just finished bucking the Aurora and she's hanging in the shower...3 more to go

Trim jail is the least fun thing about the entire process. I hate it with a deep deep passion.
I've spent a lot of time thinking of what I could do to automate it. The trimmer that has 2 large back and forth oscillating plates with sharpened slits cut in them, is the best I've seen. The whole thing is on a slight angle and the buds just move their way down it and are basically being cut by scissors. It's closest to hand trim that I can recall seeing.

If you're painting lids go with the rubber spray "paint". I find that even black painted lids, when you hold a light close to it, it still is not completely opaque.

Third time running the Aurora. Usually, they always stayed squat even on outdoor grows but this girl kinda went berserk and took over a 2x3 footprint. Had to cut her down last week because I found a few spots of mold forming even @45%RH. Wish I could have given her a few more days but my bathroom smells really nice now...

I run waterfalls and no water chilling and never a problem. Ever. Forget the silly lil toy chiller and use waterfalls in your tubsites instead.

Already have waterfalls. When my room temps are in the mid 80's, it's a waiting game for issues to crop up. That's why I decided to see if I could have some better control of the environment the plants have to exist in.

Have to give you guys a big thanks again! Finally got it put together!

I'm not sure how to upload a video so I put some pics for now.

All four buckets have even water flow. (used flexible piping). 1000GPH pump. 3/4" to 1/2".
2" bulkheads.

How can I be 100% sure it's enough oxygen? Should I opt to throw in one air stone per bucket? (There is a good steady flow of water, not sure how much you can tell from the pics.)

That is definitely going to work to provide enough oxygenation.

So for a 1 inch uniseal/grommet what size hole should i be drilling to achieve this "perfect" fit???
Fuck, I dunno man- I took one look at uniseals and noped right the fuck out. I use 1" bulkhead fittings and they work great, I can use flexible hose, moving and reconfiguring the system is a snap and so that's what I tell everyone to use.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner!
