uhhh you can do that regardless ..... simple as this.

rent a house

dedicated ONE room of the house to your grow, preferably a 12x12

invest about 2000 in equipment

grow in that 12x12 ..... thats about 13 square meters, if your using a higher yielding plant, thats 700g/sq meter. thats about 9100 grams using the whole room, thats about 650 ounces of weed. i live in texas so, about 250$ for a half is normal. that times 650 halfs ... is about 160,000$ ...... simple as fuck. ?
Yeah, not really THAT easy...Gotta have the money coming in to pay rent and electricity, need the start up money...Not to mention you might need more than 2000 dollars to set up a 12x12 room that produces at optimum yields...Gotta network to move it all, pay people to trim, deal with the risks or keeping it all secret as to not get busted...

You make it sound like you can go to walmart, pick up a couple CFL's, and quit your day job...Not so.

well im fortunate enough to live by one of the best hydroponic shops in the WORLD, brite ideas, and they re-sell massive... MASSIVE amounts of equipment. i even get tons of free shit because they know me on a first name basis. 1000w ballast with the reflector hood used are gonna run you about 250-3 apiece ..... i use 6. so ... your right a little over 2k. then you have the extraction fans, the co2 tanks, the timers, the oscilating fans, the MH bulbs, the HPS bulbs, the panda paper, the tarp, the pots(normally free) and then of course the seeds ..... ok so. a little more than 2k probably about 25-3 but still ... NOT REALLY alot to invest considering the return, and no i wouldnt pay anyone to trim id simply do it myself ? and keeping it a secret is a simple as not telling anyone, and using inline carbon filters ? simple. as. fuck.

What about medium, nutrients, preventative foliar sprays for fungus and pests, various other chemicals and water treatment products...Bet it gets hot in Texas, running that AC much?

Love to see some pics. Just running a straight SOG or you grow topped and LST'd?? Using tap water? 650 ounces per harvest? So you say you're getting 40 pounds out of a 12x12 room? So like almost 4.5 ounces per square foot? 40 pounds, how long is it taking you to trim 40 pounds by yourself?

of course the medium along with lots of others i thought would be a given to any grower .... timers .... etc i can go on. and no fuck SOG id rather have the yield 2-3 times a year. and yes, tap water but i have a water softener, and no i use 6 to veg, and those numbers arnt a GIVEN, just an expecting amount, and ill never post pictures man, sorry for the inconvience.

Well I never thought that I could just move across the country and start growing. That is, unless somebody wanted to start a joint venture... ;)

It's just a nice thought.

anything else mr skeptical ? and about the AC each light adds roughly 25-30 dollars a month to my bill. so i cut it to 22-2 during the veg and its helped, not just the bulbs lifespan, but my energy bill by about 5 bucks a light. so roughly 120$ extra a month. and SINCE its so hot in texas, the electricity bill is generally contributed to the ac. but i dont run the ac. sacrafices.

I dunno...If you can pull 40 lbs outta that 12x12 room for a setup under 3500 bucks, hats of to ya! And yeah, how long does it take you to trim 40 pounds? I suppose you also invested 1k+ in an automatic trimmer? No pics? I wanna see this 40 pound 12x12 room!!

Wait, how do you run 6 1000w HPS in a 12x12 room with no AC in Texas? CO2 can only do so much for the heat......

it takes along time to trim the 30+ lbs ive got from the yield. and that was while misusing the co2 .... i got this shit in the bag now. potentially i can get 40 lbs. no doubt about it. and do you have an email ? ill send you a picture of my harvest. sure.

and of course i run the ac man, along with plenty of fans. and of course a humidifier .... electricity bills here during peak months hit 350-400 anyway. mines usually about 550.

No, I will not send you my email, thanks for the offer...You say you're doing this all in soil? What size pots? What sorta soil mix you using? What nutrients? Is it central AC? I'm just curious man.

Yeah, I'm at 7.3 too. But I get a .15 raise in a couple weeks! lol

I actually love working in a kitchen. I was a food runner and a waiter for a while and it was great. I have considered getting my culinary certification, because I also enjoy cooking. I just get cold feet when it comes to school, because that's a lot of debt when you don't know if you will like that career!
save your money. the culinary school i went to is getting sued for misleading students on jobs available. Basically, even with a degree, you still have to earn your way thru the trenches. I'm still a line cook.

I heard about that lawsuit. If I do go to school, it will be at a community college, I'll pay $5k for two semesters and be done with it. Here, I can't even get a job as a prep-cook to work my way up, so that seems to be the only choice.

Get a job as a dishwasher and make it known that you want to learn to cook...When it gets busy, they'll have you do shit...The pantry cook at my place used to be our dishwasher, but he just showed initiative...The new dishwasher helps on the lunch line when they get in the weeds......
