that doesnt look right... is that just a clump of dirt in a cup then ya planted seed in it?? first off... best way to germ is clamshell (plates with paper towel) as that way you know that they have taken. Then if doing your sprout in a cup like ya are then put a good full cup of dirt and pack it a tiny bit but not to firm. poke a hole in dirt and plant seed. cover abit with dirt but dont push dirt down on it. and just mist it abit till top of soil is moist and slowly sucking in. thats just my 2 cents on that. Now your cotyledon leaves shouldnt be turning yellow as thats your seedling light source till it gets bigger.

its a rapid rooter, google it. Its not soil, its a medium that promotes good air and water levels, works great for sproutlings and clones. I germed it by putting it in a damp paper towl, inside of a bag, sealing the bag and putting that in a dvd box for complete darkness and put the box in my closet that stays warm, it popped in 24 hours and took off once i put it in these rapid rooters, read through the thread and youll see.
edit: the reason that looks like dirt is because it just got watered and the rapid rooter is moist atm, its normally a light brown like coco coir

Your seedling is showing nitrogen deficiency. It will be needing nutes right away or it will be significantly stunted if it isn't already...sorry I read your thread before but I'm not sure of the age and am too lazy to look again
. The easiest thing to do is to feed 1/4 strength of your bloom nutes the next time you water it.

you DO NOT have a nitrogen deficiency. do not use nutes.
You are however making this too complicated. Why are you wedging a second rapid rooter in the cup? PLEASE if you start another seed, put it in some pro-mix or properly aerated medium and put it in a 3-4 inch tall container.

i wedged it in the side to take up some room, the rooter with the seedling in it was sort of movin around. I guess im a bit scared at puttit in in soil again because that soil i used the first time clumped and became hard as hell around the seedling, also it basically turned to mud when i watered until i saw run off. I think its too early on to see nitrogen deficiency.

Ha ha ha, little Ajjax, so naive. The younglings will be burned indeed. But they will rise from the ashes friend. I actually need to cut off the remaining growth from when it was still a seedling. The last of the triple bladed leaves are a quarter brown and yellow. After that everything is green.

haha, i just havent wanted to cause the little girl any pain! She seems to opening up really nice today though, the cotyledon leaves have spread more since i put it in the min solo cup, i think its because the rapid rooter is staying properly moist now. A little but bigger and they will go to ffof, but im adding perilite and dolomite lime, i know the ffof already has some but i want to add a little bit more.

ive been reading that flushing takes care of it just fine, at least it takes care of the build up of salts in the soil left from the nutes, a couple people told me if it ever comes up to flush with no nute water until the run off is clear. Or add dolomite lime. Theres a lot of threads saying you can sprinkle it on the surface of your soil and use it even if you didnt mix it in the base soil when you transplanted, you should look in to that, it definitely couldnt hurt. I got a bag of it at home depot for around 4$

Yeah all the stores should carry it. It wont hurt your plants if you sprinkle it on the top and it should help manage and buffer your PH.
Thanks for the required reading, im going to be switching to 18/6 tonight since ive had a good day of growth.
Flaming tould me to keep it on 24/0 but this guide is saying it build itself better at night. Gonna roll 3 am- 9 am lights off, 9 am - 3 am lights on.
Heres some pics of the twin that i just popped today, so far 2/2 popped with the paper towel method inside of my humidity dome.
My first girl is lookin better, he leaves spread out more today once i got her medium under control, shes also loosing the yellow on the edge of the cotyledon leaf, slowly. So now I feel more comfortable going 18/6, should start to see wayyyyyy more growth.
