Looks pretty good, how are those plants anyway? Do those strains give off any odours in veg? I've got a big bud in veg and its already giving off smell up close. How do you plan on containing the smell when you go into flowering, or does it not matter?
They smell when you put your nose right up on them but nothing you can smell from outside the box. The smell is not really a big deal to me though because my girl and i bomb out the house with smoke more than once a day so it always smells. We just wanted a stealth box incase we needed our land lord to come work on something and so that our friends don't know we grow because they tend to mooch anyways. Now i am in the process of making plans for a flowering box and looking for a full sized armoire to make a beast and that box will have filters on it because i think that smell might be a little much

I'd give em a week or sooner, till startin' flower. They're lookin really healthy. Gotta remember they gonna be 2 to 4 times their height at the end of stretch depending on the strain. They gonna start growin crazy once you switch so, make sure you don't veg em too big.
You can also bring the light way closer using your shelf there, 4-6" away is good, you can get real close with cfl just watch em to make sure it's never too close. Use the back of your hand to judge heat by leaving it there for a while.

Oh yeah, the 48 hours straight is just fine, some ppl veg round the clock.
thanks for putting my worries to ease on the extra light man! prob will be putting them into flower this coming Friday that will have been 5 weeks since opening the seeds

I have a glade plugin and light up a nice candle (apple cinnamon=awesome) and crack my window during the day. Keeps the smell to a minimum.

Great looking setup. Are you not worried about the smell that your plants are going to give off? I don't see a carbon scrubber in your setup.

I live with my girl in a house and my land lord gives me 24 hours notice before he comes so the smell isnt a huge issue to me because i bomb my place out with smoke a few times a day anyways. stealth box was more just so when friends come over i can turn the fans down and spray some smell good shit and no one knows

Great work BG the Sour Diesel is coming along beautifully, and the white widow seems to have recovered, what day is it? How much longer until you put it into flower.

I think you should fill out your pot before switching to flower, like its already pretty good, but maybe let it grow out for another week then, switch to flower. Theyre fem plants right? Its hard to check the preflowers on an lst :/.

Thanks, about another week to fill the pot out was what i was thinking but hearing it from someone else always eases the mind a bit for a novice such as myself. They were feminized seeds so they should be fem unless i botched something and hermied them.

I think it will end up a pretty successful grow, I think maybe 9 nodes so far for you diesel, 7 for white widow, Its abit hard to tell :/. But your looking a a good harvest Beyond 2oz :D. Hopefully plans dont fall through for an even bigger set up in the future. :)

I counted 12 on the sour diesel and 8 on the white widow, i have no clue what kind of weight i can get out of this set up considering it is my first grow but i would be really happy with 2oz like you said. The flowering box is getting built dont worry about that! i am going to be building it over the Christmas break, i am in college and have a large study load so after finals in December is when i am going to have 3 weeks to build it. i will have all the parts ordered before that to maximize my building time during that break, i will upload lots of photos on this thread during the build.

By 2oz I meant per plant :). Oh, I thought you would be using the same box for the flowering, but if your gonna have heaps of space might as well let them veg until maturity, then switch to flower. Well I'm assuming your strain breeder is Bulldog? In that case your plants should finish flowering at about the same time so it's not a big issue.

Maturity = when nodes start to alternate. Or preflower, but I prefer alternating nodes.

No you had it right the first time i will be using this box through out this grow. Though i will be building the flowering box over Christmas it will not be ready in time for these two plants due to having to focus on my schooling and it will just have to be ready for my next grow. For the flowering box i have already ordered a 600w lumatek ballast and 3 8" ecoplus supreme inline fans 740CFM each. 1 is for air cooled light 1 for exhaust and 1 for intake, i realize the fans are a little overkill but i plan on using a fan speed controller to slow them down and have them be really quiet while still pushing a solid 500+cfm each. havent picked a hood yet because i have yet to pick the armoire i want and dont know dimensions. i have been searching my local craigslist for the armoire though, will probably be checking out thrift stores too when i can get a friend with a truck to go with me.

You don't need a fan for intake, negative pressure from the exhaust fan will take care of that for you.

Having light on a seperate venting circuit will help loads though.

since i have already ordered 3 of these ecoplus 8" inline fans for my flowering cab should i only use one for the light and one for the exhaust and leave one out, or put one on the light and 2 for exhaust, or just leave my initial plans for 1 intake one exhaust and one for the light??
