Stealth dresser grow idea, first time grower

Yeah i think once i learn all this it'd be cool to check this forum daily, it's a great thing you got going here, also a great community.

yeah man click my link you might get a couple good pics of my dresser cabs. I got two of them, they will take some real work, but when done right, like they say, will last you a long time and you can reuse over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....

dude go on craigslist and get one for like 30 bucks. thats where i got my tall one. the other one i already had. thanks for the nice comments tho, they should look a little better, but theyre doing well.

Dude listen to these guys, they know what they are talking about and they are just trying to help you avoid a major headeache or possibly complete failure, and failure is most likely what you will experience if you try to use those hideous multi-colored plastic storage drawers, I assure you that you will have a HELL OF A TIME getting that thing "Grow-worthy". Either make up some story why you need another dresser or do a PC grow and for your situation a computer case might be your best bet. They actually make REALLY BIG PC cases now a days for computer enthusiasts who run liquid cooling, multiple hard drives and video cards etc. and one of the cool things (no pun intended) about PC cases is they are built with ventilation in mind and usually with 120mm fans already installed. Also, nobody blinks an eye when they hear fans running and see light coming out of a PC case, so no real need for stealth other than carbon filtration for the smell. You asked about nutes, well I'm using what my local hydro shop recommended after I told them I needed something that produces results, is fairly cheap and is EASY to use, they recommended Sugar Peak and the CATALYST by Earth Juice, apparently all you NEED for the entire grow are three items, the Sugar Peak Veg and Flowering formulas and the CATALYST. You can also use the Sugar Peak Grand Finale to finish off the flowering cycle but once again its not NEEDED. I'm also using several other products IE: Mycorrhiza and Earth Juice Bio Zeus (beneficial bacteria and microbes), Actinovate, Alaska Fish Fertilizer, Super Thrive, Vitamin B-1, Soluble Kelp, K-Mag, CO2 supplementation etc. Whatever you do decide CFL's are probably going to be your best bet for lighting, unless you can afford LED's, just remember you need 6500K for vegging and 2700K for flowering, to get the best lumen per watt ration I recommend that you don't go higher than 65 Watt and don't go lower than 27 watt with the 65 watt being the most efficent at around 4300 Lumens, I did a lot of searching and this is one of the best CFL's for the money, FYI: Its a HUGE F-ING BULB THOUGH! (---->CLICK HERE<----). I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you get a PH tester, I just lost 15 clones to my PH being WAY off, for soil you want your PH between 6.3-6.5 and for hydro I believe you want it at 5.5 but double check that as Ive never done hydro yet.

Ive found a couple of random complete growboxes with lights fans and stuff on craigslist for like 400 bucks. That could also save some money in the long run when building it. But hey that is a nice chunk of change still. Man, sometimes people throw dressers out on craigslist, check the free section too. Thrift or second-hand stores also man, sometimes you can get a real POS for like 10 bucks, but if its solid wood, thats what you'd want. I paid 40 bucks for a real nice one, and I could fit probably 10 1-gallon plants that were no taller than 24'', or maybe like 4-6 3-gallon plants.

Your amazing, You finally described what i exactly need for lighting THANK YOU lol, I won't start growing until i get a wood dresser, PC case won't work in my situation, Plus my dad needs to finish putting doors on my closet and stuff, Need to take care of my bong and stuff while that's happening, But once he's finished i'll be in the clear for growing :D, My mom goes in my closet sometimes to hang clothes up on the right side of the closet in this picture, So where those colored drawers are, i'll be putting a wood dresser for growing, So basically i plan on putting ventilation through tubes so she can't see light through a whole. I think i'll be okay as long as i've got a carbon scrubber, Some good fans, And tubes for out take and intake, Any opinions?

There's TONS of garage sales in my area, I'll find one eventually and just say i found it on the side of the road with a free sign, begging to be taken :D

How often do i use Superthrive? And how often to fertilize at all? also how much Superthrive do i add for 1 gal of water? And how do i use nutrience and how often? I plan on making a spray bottle for water, Nutrience, And fertilizer.

you can do it if u make it that way i had alot of doubt about my grow room..im a 1st time grower also.if u want some ideas go to my grow room tread and take a few from there its a few ppl on there with decent rooms
