Well I have a relativly small closet. Maybe 6' x 2' or something. Inside the box it got hot as hell.. The closet was rather warm too but my room was pretty cold. lol I need to vent out of my closet somehow. Any suggestions how to pump the hot air out and cold air in? I plan to start using my a/c as soon as it gets warmer and that should help a little.

Growing very slowly still. I got a much better light to use, unfortunately it wont work for my cfl grow because of heat. It is a 150W HPS light. Pics included. It cost me about $80 total for the light + ballast.

My New Light:
150w HPS.

Eh, guess no one wants to contribute to this journal. I took my plant out of the Stealth and put it under the HPS for now. MAYBE if I start getting more comments I will put it back in the box so you can all see how well this works. It's working ALOT better then I thought it would in some sense but worse in others. But the HPS light seems to be working alot more effeciently.

yeah.. well its just that i've asked a few critical questions and got a 0% response rate going on here. The replys I do get are mainly "subscribbed" and thats it. Posts that do me no good at all and do them no good other then a higher post count.. o.o My questions again are... for anyone actually listening. better yet im not goign to post ANY MORE updates untill I get some questiosn answered. Thanks. I wanted to make sure since this is my first hydro grow, just my second overall grow. I've seen people use 1 airstone but i dont see how so little bubbles will be enough for the plants... maybe I'm wrong haha.. but okay I am hopping to get ahold of some White Widow clones soon. Hopefully by then my hydro setup will be finished. Then I can start using that which will be a fun experience for me.

Hi sorry I've been a stranger...little obsessed about my own grow, I guess 
So, as far as burning your house down goes, it's pretty unlikely.
Does something different happen if you switch the lamp off versus unplug it? Like, is there a cooling fan that stays on?
My guess is it has to do with the temperature of the glass. Glass hates to change temps rapidly and unevenly. The other day, my wife took out the glass shelf from our cold fridge and tried to clean it in the sink under hot water. Oh yeah, you guessed it, glass-explosion!
I used mercury lamps in a microscopy lab for awhile, and the rule with them was: if you turn it off, leave it off for 30mins before turning it on again. Turning a high-heat lamp like HPS off and on frequently can cause uneven heating and lead to the glass breaking.
In your situation, where you'll be turning it off for 6-12 hours at a time, there shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps!

stealth s good cause it is harder for the grow to be found but also will resrtict space and plant amounts
It works better then I thought by being almost it's own environment. Temps are perfect, humidity is perfect.
The only reason it DIDN'T work as well is becasue it got way to hot inside my closet due to my 1.5 foot by 4 foot closet. Not enough space so it gets hot fast. But if I set it outside my closet its picture perfect. Tho the lights don't adjust so its kinda wasting a bit of precious lumens.
Works well tho. But I have a better light and I might as well use the best I got, right?
Sorry for no updates recently. I think the plant is stunned so I need to repot it in a bigger pot. When I do that (later tonight) I will post updates.

Three Rubbermaid bins
Three higher velocity fans
One lower velocity fan
A sharp razor or knife
Mylar, or flat white paint
Step one: Place one Rubbermaid bin right side up take cover of and put to side
Step two: remove the cover of a second Rubbermaid bin and place face down over the first Rubbermaid bin
Step Three: Cut a hole in the bottom of the top box
Step Four: put last Rubbermaid right side up with cover on top cut hole in bottom of Rubbermaid bin first
Step Five: Cut a hole in the second bin up on the side for one high powered fan
Step six: Cut directly opposite for the second high powered fan
both will be pumping air in
Step Seven: Cut a hole on the side of the top box so that the third and final high powered fan will fit blowing air out
Step eight: Cut a hole on the side of the bottom box so that the low powered fan will fit and blow on your plants nicely
Step nine: Affix hood and bulb so that it can hang from the cover of the top box

that's pretty sweet, although it doesn't deal with odor. If you hung CFLs to be close to the plants instead of the HID, then you could mount a carbon scrubber just under the top lid. Of course, your yield wouldn't be as good but your garage wouldn't smell like a felony, either.

Thanks for the information tho I think I will just stick to my closet and hanging a light in that. I DO have a picture of it but the plant hasn't been growing for crap. I am getting 2 White Widow clones tomorrow for about $50 off a local grower. It's a cousin of one of my friends. The only guy I trust to buy my bud from even. My setup for my HID lights will be nice. Since the exsessive light from each HID can contribute to the growth of the other set of 5 plants. (maybe 6). When I get the money to buy the other HPS and the other materials for my other DWC rubbermaid that is.
