Stay away from Attitude Seeds

I don't post much, but I noticed this thread (about 4 months old) as I was clicking onto Attitude and I just wanted to put in my 2 cents because I've given these guys hard times in our history together.

While quality varies between strains and companies, if you've done 5-10 minutes of research with Google then you would know which ones to get for both mass and potency, depending on your goals.

Personally, a lot of the criticisms could be valid, although I suspect a large portion is user error and please get the insurance and the discreet packaging. Ive had my mail held up for over a month before but I've never lost a package and I've ordered quite a few.

Also I've had a handful of seeds not sprout and a few were probably my fault. I have seen variations in quality in one of the strains I mainly use, but that's understandable since I use Autos. I DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THE PHOTO PERIOD SEEDS SO I CAN'T SPEAK ON THOSE.

Anyway, reps to Attitude. They are the only company I get my seeds from and I don't do this for fun. And yes I've gone through thousands.

Sorry for all the nasty emails Attitude, at least I'm finally giving you a good review!!!

I ordered two crappy breeders genetics from attitude seeds and they suck.
Its Attitude's fault! LOL

Hey Bonzo maybe look into what breeders have good genetics instead of ordering crap then blaming the place that sold them and not the breeder that made them.
Both breeders you picked have bad reps in the industry for junk genetics.

I have ordered from attitude many a time. No complaints here.

We as growers should understand everything isn't guaranteed ,you get what you pay for ,that said I've ordered maybe 20 times never got a dud, take that back got one dud out of 100. Do your homework on your breeders, tga will always be 100 %,pay for what u get

Attitude aint been too bad for me. Only had one order cock up a few years back, and the girl on the phone was great, sent me fresh order out straight away.
only thing ive found is the monthly freebies are seriously bad quality, tiny little pips.
always get in original breeders packs as there many a story of the staff putting any old seeds in the package rather than what u pay for.
swings n roundabouts i think.

I like Attitude, and agree that those that had problems were probably not doing something right.....or are working for the competition and are attempting to discredit Attitude.

The discrete shipping is a bit pricey, but the free seeds make up for it in my world.

Very disappointed in the Kosher Kush seeds I received from Attitude as well as the sorry we only sell as Souvenir only not for Germination. This was the reply from rep:
Hi There
As you are well aware, we sell these for souvenir purposes only so we cannot deal with any claims regarding germination.
However, I will contact the breeder on your behalf.
Many Thanks,
Jodie @ The Attitude

All I can say is wow, I had to go look for it on the final page of check out to see the disclaimer so it is my fault for not thoroughly reading that page but as a previous purchaser from Canadian seed banks all I was concerned with was the shipping and is my order going to make it at which they did a fine job, not was my product going to be viable. The seeds which I noticed were 2 distinct sizes and of course the smaller ones are the ones that had the problems the larger ones started just fine in the paper towels but a week later and the smaller ones still hard. Attitude doesn't seem to like negative feed back on their Facebook page either as they have removed my post about "Souvenir not for Germination" several times.

I would have to say Buyer beware and if you can purchase same seeds from a company that will back germination then that is a better bet than Attitude.

Which was the reason that I ordered from them the General Reputation of them is good but after starting 6 seeds at same time in same paper towel and only 3 of them Germinating with no support from Attitude other than the brief reply to my concerns stating that they only sell as Souvenir not for Germination I wouldn't purchase from them again regardless of how many freebies they send. I am not looking for free seeds when I purchase I am looking for quality and service and I didn't get that on my 1st experience with them.

Everything about your post screams that you don't know what you're doing.

1. Everybody knows that you can't mention that you've tried to germ when dealing with attitude. It's been mentioned thousands of times on this site and it's alway the same end result. If you talk about germing, you're screwed.
2. Paper towel method? Please. I would like to have seen those seeds in starter cubes inside my germination dome with a heat mat used. I bet I could have got them germing. I used to be terrible at germing when I used the paper towel method but now that I have the correct set up everything germs.
3. Small seeds are not an indication of germ rates. From my experience it's a myth that the seeds have to be large. I've germed many a small seed that I too was worried about. They germ, you just need the correct set up.

You can hate and say what you want. Bottom line is 6 seeds started at same time in same paper towels and only 3 of them cracked. As I stated I didn't fully read check out section so that is my fault and so not gonna trip about them not sending replacements as friends have had done with Canadian seed banks.

My post was to make sure that everyone here in the U.S. is aware that they only sell for "Souvenir not Germination" which is not the case world wide smarty pants, and that if they can get same seeds from different seed bank that will back germination then that is the better choice then taking gamble with a company that won't.

I did mention since you are so into Attitude that there was no problem with shipping. Just the reply from them and the quality of the seeds I received.

They say on their site it is ILLEGAL to germinate seeds. DO NOT ASK THEM ABOUT SEED GERMINATION AND THC CONTENTS. Dude don't rip a company when they don't want to discuss something they say they won't in the first place. READ THE FINE PRINT. Peace out.

On the final page of checkout, and on every single seed page..

Attitude is a reseller NOT a breeder. They couldn't give a rat's ass about germination. They are a souvenir store nothing more, nothing less. They treat the seeds like pogs. They deal in volume and hype. They will get your seeds to you and if you follow the right procedures and order guaranteed, they will replace lost or damaged seeds. THAT'S IT! No More No Less.

I don't mean to sound smug but all of the info is available here and on the website.

knock on wood I have received everything I've ordered from Attitude pretty quickly and intact. Now let's see how they germ.

Good Luck with your grow, future grows and orders.

1. I never said I liked attitude. I actually deal with sannie and it was sannie, an expert breeder, who got me away from the paper towel method and also convinced me that seed size is not an indication of germination rate.

2. I also made the same mistake years ago with attitude. I mentioned germing when I too received a small kaya 47 seed that I had trouble germing when I used to use the paper towel method. I mentioned germing and bam, no more talky talk.

3. I'll stick to my guns on this one. I'm not a "smarty pants" and I'm not hating on you. I'm just letting you know that it's a myth that small seeds won't germ well, and that paper towels are meant for cleaning up spills, not germing.

The fact alone that you have to handle the seeds when going from the towel to the next medium is a very bad thing since by potentially touching the tap root your dna can mess up the sprout and thus cause problems for the plant. Look into it.

Also it's rare that a bank will back germination since so many people screw it up. I can only think of one and they only give you one free pass and then they stop talking to you.

Do yourself a favor and get some starter cubes, a humidity dome, a heat mat and a CFL bulb to hang over the dome and you won't be sorry. The whole set up is under $35. I guarantee you'll bring your germing to a whole new level.

You can also overwater and cook your seeds in that method. I know I did.

See if you can get some bagseed and practice different germing methods. Forums are nice as a guide but burning and learning is really the only way to gain that concrete knowledge

As long as the starter cubes are not touching the water at the bottom of the tray one should be fine with a humidity dome. The tray has groves. If the water is in the grooves and the cubes sit above the water it stays at the perfect moisture level for me.
As far as overcooking, the perfect germ temp is a root zone in the mid 70's. If it's already hot in your germ area then the root zone will already be warm enough and you don't need the heat mat.
