SRC Minerals

I found this product that is fairly local to me, it seems to have a bunch of great stuff in it. However it also has a lot of calcium it seems like and I have already amended my soil with Dolomite.1.5 cups of Dolomite 35 liters of (approx 9 gallons if I did that right) of soil/compost and approximately 15liters of EWC. I'm going to add more EWC. I will probably add another 15 liters of EWC.

But there is no rock dusts added to it yet as I am trying to find a nice solution as no one seems to have them but the quarry and I don't want 50lb bags :)

So there is the product I am looking at. I have lots of time to cook my soil. I am wondering how much of this product I could safely use in my soil mix. The rest of the amendments have been added at a fairly light level.

Would it still be safe to dump 3-4 cups of this in my soil mix? or would that amount of calcium with the Dolomite cause me issues you think?

So I take it this stuff is just Volcanic rock dust with a fancy name, I am going to grab a bag tonight. I am sure it will help greatly. My last grow I never added any rock dusts at all and this stuff sounds like miracles in a bag

Mr.Head, I have heard of people going to rock quarries or landscaping companies and sieving granite fines. This is a real cheap way to get a lot of rock dust imo. Be careful of polymers used by some of the rock cutting industry. edit: I believe 200 microns is the screen size you want for this.

I have access to GRD close by, so I use it. I really don't know the answer to your question, but my question would be how available is the calcium in said rock? Doesn't seem like it would have the speed of reaction like a powdered oyster shell etc.

So here's the mineral analysis of the product.

They hype this shit pretty hard on their website. I plan on giving it to a group of clones I have a 2 for 3 weeks 2 without and see if the results are anywhere near what they claim.

They pretty much claim this stuff will bring delicate plants back from the dead with a vengeance we'll see :)
