Couple of questions -

What made you use Coco for you first grow?
How are you liking it so far?
How often/for how long do you let it "flow?"
On your clones, did you put them in rooting plugs or straight into the Coco?

If you feel like answering these it would be much appreciated!

Nah not a problem at all =) thanks for checkin out my journal!

1- i was planning on setting up an aeroponics system originally but after talking with some people at my local hydro shop they swayed me into Coco.

2- No complaints yet. For being a newbie everything seems to be doing well but due to my lack of experience i don`t have anything to compare with really. I don`t seem to have huge Ph fluctuations or anything like that.

3- i started off at 15minute cycles 3 times a day and now i`m going 30 minute cycles 3 times a day since the plants are much bigger at this time. This is something i am still adjusting and tinkering with. I try to not change things more that once a week and just watch and see how the plants react.

4- straight into the coco. i`ll keep you posted on how they do. The ones i took last week were looking like shit yesterday and i thought they were done for sure but today they look much better.

i don`t know how many people run HEPA filters on there intakes but i love it so far. Every time i open it up i can see all the bugs and other junk that is collecting inside the tupperware box that would have made it into my flower room otherwise. What do you all think? Has anyone had any negative effects of running a prefilter on your intake?

There should only be positive side effects from using a hepa filter
I hear they work great and should work well to keep stuff out of your op

right now all i could fit was a 15 gallon rubbermaid and it takes roughly 7 gallons to get me 2.75" of water in an EMPTY tray. I`m assuming a tray full of pots with substrate will displace some of the water.

the down size of using air filters is that the air pump needs more power to operate.
I use a carbon filter and about 10meters of fittings and the fan doesnt work as well as it did with no filter and 1m of fittings. not nearly as good.

I got a bugs screen on my intake and whatever sucks in i just pick by hand from the fitting.

Great thread. I am going the other way on nutes. I was using Canna and switched to GH. I like your setup it has me thinking I could save a lot of space and be more flexible. subscribed & +rep

ok well i learned a lot about cloning haha .... i nearly nuked all my clones by loving them to much and giving them to much water lucky me though they all have seemed to snap out of it. They look rough but i think they will make it..... Also my Bag Seed plant was looking very suspicious. I`m pretty sure it hermed out so i pulled it out and stuck it by a window in another room. Oh well! Sucks but i don`t want it to contaminate my other stuff...... so first off i`ll post some clone pics then i`ll get to the bigger stuff. The last 6 pics were taken today.
