Eh...It could work, but why bother...
I do however remember BOGs old pics on Over Grow so long ago, where he would stack a smaller pot of soil with roots growing out of it into a lager pot of soil and sometimes again into another larger pot of soil...

so I am pretty sure this thread is just talking about SIP's or Hempy buckets... or combos... nothing new and TONS of info on them out there (-: SIP's are the EASIEST way to grow imo and great for living soil. I will never go back! Come check out the SIP thread for a ton of info on them!

anyone have any ideas on how this could be done other ways???
Hi Randy,
I remember a creative guy did a grow and a thread about this. How he did it was to grow the plant with the roots directly on top of a vertical divider. Half the roots went down one side into a hydro system while the other side of the roots went into soil.

His idea was to get fast growing because of the hydro side while retaining the more natural terpine flavors from organic soil. He claimed it did the job.

I remember that! He would end up with the top looking like a wedding cake. Claimed it increased aeration...even wrote a book about it, but not a best seller. lol
