I started with hydro believe it or not and have never grown in soil. Just looking for some soil recipes, heard it was better to make your own.

I use compost mannuer, and mix in wood chips, coco shell mulch, worm castings, kelp meal, green sand, dolomitic lime, gypsum, chikitty doo doo, bat guano, epsom salt, bone an blood an cotten seed meal, alfalfa bites, perlite, vermiculite, azomite epsom salt, and ground grab shells...

No need to feed this soil just water.
Also if you want add some molasses and honey and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to your water for a great catalyst...

There are some things you have to have in your soil, this is my list in order of importance.

Worm Castings up to 25%
Coco up to 25%
Pro mix/Sunshine up to 25%

The other 25% in my mix is sheep shit from Wallmart, Homedepot where ever, bone meal, blood meal, dolomite lime.

I water with 1 table spoon or molasses to 1 gallon of water,

I also use growzyme/hydrozyme and liquide carma because it makes a difference. If I had to pick one it would be hydrozyme.

This gives me 1.5 to 1.7g per watt.

Peace

If you go Organic the other thing you will need to do is find something to do with all the extra time you'll have. I did chems for years but it took too much time. I'll never go back ever.

If you are looking for good soil mis just go over to subcools forum. He has a huge thread devoted to his tried and true, organic soil mix
