what kind of soil should i use with cfls? i want it to be easy to maintain, cause i dont got a ph tester.

fox farm ocean soil is good stuff thats what my friends use. If you want to keep the ph good read about adding fine dolomite lime to your soil

get a pH test kit... the drop kind can be had for about $10.

neither soil nor CFLs have anything to do with the pH level of your water.

thanks dudes. do u think there might be any ph testers, and good soil at wall mart? i herd u can use bakeing soda and vinger to adjust ph levels. is that true?

Wal mart has ph testers and decent soil mixes too just don't get anything with a time release fert. Use lime and sulfur to adjust PH levels you should not need to adjust much if you get a decent soil mix.

what is sulfer? do u meen like lime from a lemon or a lime? should i just get a regular potting soil mix from wall mart?

Lime is a pulverized mineral additive, sulfur is just that sulfur it comes in a powder form as well and will lower the ph of your soil. Regular potting mix should be fine just don't get anything with time release fertilizers and make sure the bag does not look old or poorly stored.

Go to Lowe's and get Sta-Green soil in the yellow package. Nutes are 0.05-0.04-0.03. Mix this 4 to 1 with perlite. You'll need some garden lime as you add nutes, but overall it's cheap and worked fine for me.

he josh. i think u just need to check the ph alot with time realise. idk though. im a newbie to indoor. what kind of soil do u think i should use? ive got 60 watts of cfl.
