SOG Sativa Flood to Drain, Can it be done?

My question is whether a SOG using a flood tray technique is advisable for a sativa dominant strand. I'll be putting up to 30 clones of blue dream from Humboldt into a 3x3 flood tray, with a 50 gallon reservoir, in a 4x4x6 grow tent using a 600W HPS. Using the Lucas formula and expanded clay pellets as my medium.

I've grown this strand before in a 2x4x5 tent and it grew way too big for the tent.

I've always grown in DWC and coco but after completing my 2nd SOG flood setup with an indica dominant I would much rather stick with flooding due to the lower maintenance. My concern is managing the stretch of a sativa dom, even if I flip 12/12 from clone immediately. With my past indica set up I loved growing 2 or 3 large buds per plant but I am concerned with that with the blue dream I'll be pulling it all the time.

1. Is this advisable?
2. If I end up having to pull the tops down to prevent light burn will that slow bud growth?
3. Any other suggestions, warning, or knowledge from past experience would be helpful
4. And has anyone grown this strand before? How long was flowering, I hear mixed statements depending on the distributor.

I am about to try something along the same lines. I like doing sog in flood trays as well. will be going with Panama from Ace. have mother plant growing now . I am prepared to lower the table if need be, but I don't want 7ft plants. Should be interesting .

Any thing is possible with 30 you don't wanna veg long and you wanna top then top the tops after that with only 5 feet of height I would be quick to flower I don't know what medium you're in but as soon as you get nice growth flower and scrog em weave the tops thru so they don't shoot straight thru .... goodluck

Any idea on when I can expect the stretch to stop after I switch to flower? Also, if I am putting 3 plants per sqft do you think yield will be adequate if I flower the clones immediately after rooting?

My liberty haze finishes at 3ft ,that's with a week of veg. I plant in one gallon pot with 500 ml of hydroton. Small sour cream container full. I like to see a few roots poke out of pot before switching to flower. They are about a foot tall, then they take off . I go 4 per sq ft but 3 is perfect, less work lol. I used to put 2 in 1 pot but lots of work,hydroton stays really clean when you do that. you do need some veg time I think because they just don't have the root structure if you flip immediately. let them rip and defoliate. I think it will work very well .
