So...you can't transplant Autos?

You know,it's one thing to talk with people who share the same interests as you online, but it's a totally different when you are actually around these people and interacting with them... I would love to have came up around you cats and learn this shit first-hand... I am honored to have been able to "get green"with you guys and girls, even though there are more guys than girls...Now, with that being said,is this plant too big for this pot???View attachment 4126689
We really need are own community or hell better than that we need are own state or we may be big enough to have are own coast.

This is an Alien V Triangle at 9 weeks. Its from a few years ago. Very even canopy and she wasn't topped. She yielded 4.5 oz (if I recall correctly). I find that by keeping a low-wattage light very close to the seedlings...that it stops them from being leggy...and they are also less inclined to show the Christmas tree structure.

Is that a fender amp I see their in the back round?

you ~can~ transplant them, but better do it before it gets rootbound in that smaller container. if i wait too late, the plant starts to flower in the small container and gets all dicked up and stressed out from the transplant.
however, if your timing is right, you can transplant to larger pot without issue. (use some mykos on the roots to sweeten the transplant. i have found this helps reduce the transplant stress).

I had assumed that much I got a few axes myself. Fenders and Gibsons, could never of afforded them back in the day. Now I am in my fifties and only got two hobbies growing and music. So I do what I want to all day long.

I put them in the 3-gallon pots they will finish in. I usually use Biobizz Litemix for seedlings. This time I used Cocoloco and some of the root balls came apart during the transplant. The coco seems more fibrous whereas the Biobizz clumped together better. I did tear a few roots, but it didn't seem to have adverse effects. 3BOG seems to lend itself better to transplanting than other autos. But that's only my observation.

I think I’m going directly in 3gal pots with some FFOF with perlite half way, then some a few teaspoons great white sprinkled on top next layer FFHF with perlite and crushed volcanic rock 1\4” size, I will put small hole in top layer a little root toner in it and then a 1/2” of coco mixed with Perlite and clear solo cups for domes lights at 25% till they break top of soil 70 to 80 degrees and humidity at 70% again till they break surface and then cut back to 60% humidity and raise light up a little bit also kick it up to 50%. All water always PHed at 6.2 to 6.7 I will top dress only at 3 week intervals or as needed with either FFOF or Doctor Earths dry fertilizer till buds show then switch to flower girl. Keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. What do you think?

I would mix some perlite in, but a layer of perlite on its own, I don't know. I use the FFOF as is and it's fine as long as I don't overwater. I use bottle nutes. On this grow I am going with Humbolts Secret. I haven't used dry ferts so I can't say.

Here are the six seedlings 5 days after transplant. It wasn't a clean transplant but it seems to have worked out okay.

I did mean to say mix the perlite in with the FFOF.

3 weeks since transplant. Stopping the seedlings from being leggy means the overall structure of the plant is more compact, so no need for topping. Some grey spots appeared on the lower fan leaves so I checked my water PH. It was 8.8. I used a little PH down and it's at 6.4. The difference in water PH was very apparent. As a novice grower I never really paid attention to PH until now. I guess we learn as we go.

I have grown 3BOG exactly like this many times. She is very predictable, They'll average about 38" each and will yield a little over 3 oz each. That's more than enough for my needs. Harvest will be at 12-13 weeks from seed. It always is.

Most people drown their plant, I like the pot weight and 1” of dry top soil finger poke method to check mine. I like the way you approach the watering.:weed:
Thanks. My current grow is 6 autos and they are at 4 weeks from seed. I only give them as much water as they need. I'll even let them droop a little. I'm currently splitting 1 gallon of water between 6 plants once every 48 hours. I'll step that up to 1.5 gallons shortly.
