holy shit! if those are autos your doing better than I ever did lol. I did grow some aprox 3ft from ILGM especially Jack Herrer but I grew out doors in hot humid conditions so I know it was stressful on the girls. Great work!
Thanks, I've never flowered anything that vegged for this long or was as big as these were when flipped to 12/12, or anything close to 23 gallon pots, and the consensus is a seed mixup by ILGM, or unstable genetics, the autoflower gene is recessive, so both parents have to have that gene when bred. Some breeders have used the gene to make a faster flowering photoperiod, and I may be seeing some of that vigor. They continue to stretch and I continue to figure out how to mount the lights higher, they are drinking gallons every day, and eating full strength nutes and loving it, I had no Idea big plants consume so much in flower!

Before I got this plant, the small pot was sitting in the bigger one waiting to transplant but the plant beat him to it: EE8BE6D4-2D2A-4DEA-9CA0-1A6CA4A7172B.jpeg36F18D8B-464E-492F-8341-599B56738979.jpeg crazy how the root looks like a branch

What would happen if you cut the pot open to let the rest of the roots free??? It might not grow like you think because roots are still inside the pot right??? Houston,,we may have a problem... I don't know, I'm still learning...

I think I will drill some more holes through the lower part and base of the small pot, I can’t cut it clear through very well because it’s anchored by more than one root.
Maybe I can carefully cut it with an abrasive cutoff wheel and peel most of it away. Then top dress with fresh dirt, I bet it's bound up in that small pot, that may be why it kind of looks like a Bonsi tree, I love the Dome Of Green look!

I guess it will work, only time will tell, but you could have cut it down the side and opened it up and could have put it in the pot... You might have damaged some roots doing it the way you did... I hope not though because this is a situation where I don't want to be right...
I was careful when drilling and I didn’t touch the tap root luckily, of course some small roots were cut but not enough to shock a plant that big.

I think the stretch has slowed, 24 days into flowering now:

I turned on my carbon filter this weekend, I don’t use it until it’s needed, when you can smell it outside the house, it’s needed

It’s been 31 days since I brought them here and flowering started:

4BB71913-B59F-45A6-9188-B214AC09B5D5.jpegThe Jack Herer is smelling like mint and has really surprised with flowering so massive from a plant that looked deficient when I got it, and frost coming on faster than than all the rest!

Just an update, almost every weekend I pick off the popcorn buds, and twigs we are at 6 weeks into flowering now and I don’t think I’ll pull anymore foliage, just going to harvest each cola as they become ready. I don’t harvest based on trichome colors, just the feel and smell and look of the whole plant, and when I think it’s done fattening the buds I wait another week to make sure, especially when it’s a new strain / pheno to me.
White widow:EE5A517B-6A45-4253-ABFC-B1C3430B0884.jpeg4BD628DD-482B-4989-8B00-71CFDE023DF7.jpeg don’t know the bud site count on any of these, it’s really ridiculously high and I have mixed feelings about harvesting so much. Excited to have it done and slightly intimidating on the work load side, maybe I’ll have a trim party with the the old hippie I received them from, I have to split it with him anyway.
Jack Herer: D7FEA604-EC21-435B-A9D6-F74D7AFFB57C.jpeg133C4A11-600C-4855-A07A-31119EB0416E.jpeg it is the pretty one, and a huge surprise in the smell and looks of the whole plant based on what it started as.
The Monster hasn’t disappointed either:

see what I mean by intimidating.

Last and maybe least bud volume is the sativa:
