Im running smart pots right now, but I had thought about doing a side by side comparison if someone hasn't already.

Somehow I've always intuitively felt that a continuous permeable bag would be better than a perforated plastic hardside. I also think the hard side air pots are over marketed. And a bag seems humble, so I like it.

I'm sure air pots rock, though.

i ran a run with air pots. if your gonna do it make sure you got a big tray or something WIDE to catch the water. it will squirt out a couple inches from the pot and miss trays sometimes. i found the trick is to water them slowly. id give em all a splash and get em wet then would come back once or twice and really give em a drink.

i stick with geopots now and dont notice any difference really so idk if they are that awesome or not but coming from someone who used em on one run they didn't do anything to impress me enough to keep going.

the cart is a great idea. i did a 35 gallon grow bag once and didn't even think about how i was gonna move it to bloom....... my veg area got to move over about 5 feet and i had to build a 4x4 plastic room around her and bloom her where she sat... wayyyyy to big to move. ended up just shy of 32 ounces on that one under a 1000w. had to harvest it over a 10 day span to follow the rules lol. not like i coulda really trimmed it much faster any way lol.....

wanna know the funniest part...... i was feeding it straight salt based nutes in an inert medium...... this was very early on in my growing life and i just didn't quite get it yet lol. live and learn!

I bottom water all my plants so I dont have to worry about trays. It also saves on water, I just continue to replenish water in the rubbermaid when needed.

in that case they might work out perfect for ya. cost wise they aren't too bad compared to geo pots so id say give em a try. id be really interested to see your results i still got 20 or so laying around of varying sizes.

I just started doing this for the first month or so of 12/12.
Do you think it makes a difference? Ive been told no, but im wondering if it helps the roots push.
The plants look great btw but they are kinda dry on top soil wise.

Ive been doing it for a few months now and I love it. I get a more even water in my plants. I feel I water less often, use less water, and my water that sits in my rubbermaid sticks right around 6.5.

Hello again. I just finished making a killer batch of soil. I was going to throw in a few cloves of garlic, but then I got to thinking, shit what if the garlic kills off my mycorrhiza?

Any thoughts??

its sweet with a hint of fish. maybe orange juice sweet but more sickly sweet kinda gross sweet. maybe different molasses smells diff? idk its definitely a different smell then yesterday. yesterday was all fish and today the fish is much less prevalent. i only used a touch of the fish emulsion too. stuffs dank.
I have a plant outside I am raising on nothing but PURE fish emulsion, poured straight out the bottle into the pot, zero lime or any amendments simply compost, perlite and coco for the soil mix.

That lady is by far the strongest, happiest, healthiest plant around. Grew bigger, is flowering faster and was the only lady so far to not show ANY bugs EVER.

Growing her next to some in Gascanastan's mix, SST and ACT fed, and also a luxuriously amended mix being fed teas etc. Fish emulsion is all you need. Seriously impressed.
