I use fish emulsion in my compost tea, it's a great addition to it. Another addition I also use is "Sea Green" by Beneficial Biologics.
Let me put it this way, I'll never not have these two in my compost tea.

The only issue I might have with fish products is heavy metals. Large fish concentrate toxins over the years. Fish meal from large fish might be concentrated heavy metals.

the cottonseed meal is 5-2-1. the amount they recommend seems pretty liberal. something like 8 tbsp per 12in pot.

it says that us can be used in your compost pile to help speed up the breakdown of organic matter without tying up nitrogen
