Smoke and Coke -It’s not what you think

Hi everyone smoke and coke here. My name doesn’t mean what most think. Back when I was in boot camp, once or twice a day, we would get a break in the lounge to smoke cigs and drink soda. No matter what flavor button you pressed, you always got a coke. When it was break time the company commander would yell out Smoke and Coke!!! That was my favorite part of boot camp. If I could change my name I would but I don’t think it’s allowed.

I am a little old school. When I started growing HPS was king, but now led lights seem to have made a huge leap to the front line. I picked up a couple of MH ballasts and a few Hps ballasts real cheap and have been using them for around 15 years. I am no master growers by any means but the last bag that I bought was in 2008. I started growing in a tree house that I built for hunting. Around 2010 I let a Q.P. go for 1200 bucks and it paid for most of the building material for the room I built. Inside dimensions are a 7’ 4” square by 7’ 4” ceiling height that is insulated floor to ceiling. There is a 6” in-line exhaust with a passive intake ( draws air from outside), thru wall air conditioner, dehumidifier, circulating fan, thermostat control for the exhaust fan and a time clock for the lights, small heater for the winter grow.

I grow in sunshine mix 4 and use fox farms liquids and powders. Maybe sometime I will try different nutes but I have plenty of this stuff for now. I veg. Under 100 watt equivalent compact fluorescent bulbs in fixtures that I made. I squeeze in 4 runs a year, sometimes one of those is a seed run.

June 11 end of week 6 under 400 watt hps

June 18 end of week 7 under 400 watt hps. Installed a medic grow spectrum x fixture

June 25 finished week 8 had to raise the light and lower the wattage. Led are pretty powerful now.

July 1st finish of week 9 chopping on Friday.

Finally, someones growing Coastal Mary. Been skeptical to order their line. Due to unknown genetics.
How do you like them?

2 of the hell fire og but was hoping for more flavor.
1 of the maple leaf. Was good flavor was good grew It for 4 runs and let it go
1 of the harlequin cbd for the wife.
also picked up from CM chemo cookies had a male but used it for a couple of crosses and haven’t tested.
2 romulan space gum 1 hermed at week 5 and the other at week 7
2 blue diesel blood. Wont be running again.

i just deleted the pic of one of the blue diesel blood. Completely purple but did not taste good to me.

We have a similar space and style. I myself am an HPS/MH relic and have yet to make the switch to LED, Love the 315’s though.

Are any of these clones that you can compare the end results of from HID to LED?

Thanks yes I have grown half of these with hps until finish so I know how they finish. This round is just the last 3 weeks of flowering with the led and I will say the buds look better, seem to be swelling up more and i think they are tighter. I am going to like my new light for sure. Of course when cold weather hits the hps will be back in action.

The grow is trimmed and hanging. I didn’t take a pic because then that magical 4 ounce per plant scale I ordered would be useless. I don’t usually weigh anything up rather than just go by jars full. i am guessing 8 or 9 ounces of trimmed cured buds and an ounce of sugar trim for concentrate. I will post pics of the buds when cured. I was going to do a blast run tomorrow for 710 but I don’t think the weather will be in my favor. I have clones in veg. ready for when the flower/drying room is free.

Hey there. I'm just rolling a CM GSC Auto that finished earlier this year. Also have Strawberry cheesecake Auto. Both are really flavorful and sticky. I'll tag this thread with the CM Kush auto's I'm getting set to grow soon. Might be a tester Haze involved that CM sent to me as well.
