OP here's the truth fam, you are going to get caught. I don't see any scenario where even a 2' plant doesn't get found in a closet like that once you get late into flower.

To me its about being honest. I grew hydro at home (in a unit with my mum a few years after my dad died) I was up front and honest and payed extra board to cover the extra power bills. Mum watered the plants when i went away for the weekend and made some nice cookies to. I didnt relise my Mum smoked in the 60s until i asked..lol.

Its not about being disrespectful, its about being honest, up front and paying your own way. Not to mention them knowing in case the Police come knocking at THEIR door, for whatever reasons.

My dad never goes into my room, so if I get an absorbing gel and stick it in my room and burn some incense (which I know doesn't help hide the smell but it will help mask it) he won't be able to smell it. I'm planning on switching it over soon so it'll actually be smaller than 2 feet.

Ona will stink the fuck out of your room. Your parents will just be even more curious when air freshener smell starts filling the house. There is no way you pull this off, bud. Get a job and move out if you want to grow.

Tell your parents u got a black girl pregnant. Then be like just joking. But I am growing a weed plant in my room. After that scare it will seem like nothing

Ona blows....and it imparts the smell into the buds. Nothing you do will completely cover the smell. JUst move the plant outside and be done with it.

It's not a lecture about respecting your parents....it's about respecting the owners of the house

my point is that you will get caught, unless they have no sense of smell

Your luck it will be some skunk. I've had some plants that skink to high hell<---haha and then some that just smell nice. I had one plant that made the whole house smell as soon as my ventilation was shut down. Growing in your parents house is risky on many levels though not just for you but your parents as well. That's just my handful of pennies I thought I would share.

I had a cheese bomb that I had to use two filters to control the smell and even then sometimes it would get out.

Had a power outage for about an hour and the whole house stunk bad.

If a person really needs to hide it, they need a deep cycle battery and inverter to at least run the filter and or scrubber.

I'm carded and all and live out in the country and still use carbon filters just because for whatever reason there are ppl that don't like the smell of weed.

i noticed on this last grow where i removed all of the leaves during flower, the smell was not as bad as when it was grown with leaves on. the buds also didnt smell as strong when harvested. bud size didnt seem too affected but i probably could have had a larger harvest.
