Smallest yield ever?

The 400w MH is plenty of light, just keep em closer next time an the MH will make lots of leaves an tight nodes.
Mh grow bud good, but the HPS is way better for flowering. They sell conversion Bulbs to run a HPs in MH fixture.

I use flouros for the first week or so they are fine, the stretch happens because the plant is searching for stronger light.

Does she even have any resin on her yet? if not you prolly got about 6 weeks left (a guess based on my indica plants).
Most kush strains are mostly Indica, 8-9 weeks strains.
She could fatten up quite a bit in the remaining time.

Also the lower leaves usualy turn yellow as the plant pulls nito from them to make flowers, I dont see it on her yet.
You prolly had some in the soil was it Mg soil? But she dont look nito defecient to me?

Either way shell need some Bloom nutes ( 10-54-10 ish from MG)

just use the mg u got. People here are suckers and think that if your not spending buco bucks on a ten part fert program that you couldn't possibly grow anything but shwag. The fert companies love the ding dongs that buy their bat crap crazy advertiseing.

yeah i had 4 sets of leaves turn yellow, the very bottom ones. they eventually dried up so i ripped them out. and the soil was actually from the ground by my house, also mixed with some of the dirt in the pond. it worked out pretty well because the 3$ soil i bought from ace hardware didn't even get my plants to grow anywhere as quick as this soil did, so I threw those plants away. well guys i really appreciate the help you gave me, I will try my best to get the most out of this plant. please check back every few days cause I will porbably have new questions. And I will keep on posting new pics. =)

And no I don't see any resin yet, so I guess I still have quite a bit before i'm done. Hopefully it will fatten by then =)
and i don't know how an hps light looks, do you think you can link me to the one you were specifically talking about, the one that can fit into the mh fixture?
i posted a pic of the kind that I currently have. oh and if I can't get my hands on that hos light your talking about, would I still be fine just growing with the MH from start to end?

would it be a good idea to remove the thing on the bottom for more light? but then again it would give out crazy heat wouldnt it?

Your soil mix must not be to bad, the stuff from the pond would be full of humic acid, natural nutes an microbes.
Not bad, most organic guys would love it (Most other growers would laugh), but i would add perelite or vermaculite next time to make the soil looser for the roots.

Mh from start to finnish is fine, but it wont have as much yield as a HPS.
But MH Bud usualy has denser smaller flowers that are more covered in resin due to the high UVB radiation emitted.
The plants puts off more resin stalks as its own sunscreen.
The MH can damage your eyes also use UVB sunglasses around em.lol
Its a trade off, A mix of the 2 is the best I believe.

I would try an not use the diffuser in flowering, it weekens the light an blocks the UVB that will make that baby WHITE.
You may have to raise the light abit tell its not warm on your hand. Pull the lady out an WATCH THE TEMPS for a while.
When you got it put her back in. An check every HR tell you sure its realy ok.
Heat stess SUX during flower. I lost about a weeks flowering this last grow due to heat stress. I didnt check my temps every HR lol.

The new nute companys are outside my scope of knowledge, I Just grow cheep.
Every thing they sell can be found much cheeper.
I just bougt a half gallon 12% of humic acid from the local farm supply store for 6$, Scorpion juce from Advanced Nute you get a quart of 4% for 16$

, maybe thats why they stretched so much? and no I don't know the strain, this was my first grow, it was from a bag seed. I currently have a seed from a friend that had what he called "lavender kush" idk if thats what it really was but I could tell you it was FIRE!! I'm saving that for my next grow, since I will have a lot more experience and It will probably turn out a lot better.

OH i remembered what light it is. Its 400w metal halide. I don't really know much about the lights in growing plants but this one was big and looked good so I used it. Is it a good one to use throughout the whole grow? I only veged under this light for the last week of veg, the first couple weeks were under the 40w cool whites. do you think I wouldve had much more success if I grew under the 400w mh throughout the whole grow?

try to have that mh over them much sooner ,2 weeks old. This will really narrow those strrrrrrrrrrreched out nodes.

Yeahh... I looks like im not even going to manage a gram from this grow.. atleast that's what it looks like. It does smell like some great bud though, but theres barely any there. I'm pretty sure a plant 4 weeks into flower isnt supposed to look this empty. I added a cfl on the side to get more light to the middle/lower part of the plant. it didn't really help much. I don't have fertilizer so I havent added any, maybe this is why. I only have miracle grow and I think I'm going to use it since I probably won't get anythin out of this plant aanyways. The leaves are yellowing but I think it's because of the cfl being to close so i moved it.

Can anyone give me suggestions on what I can do to get the most out of this plant?
btw it's curved like that because i wanted to moves the top leaves away so that the middle/lower can also get light from the main light source not just the cfl.

Plants can only grow so much without a boost of science in their plant veins. If you want to max out your grow, you need to max out your growing techniques.

You think your doing badly?! My first grow I just about got a bong hit out of, just learn from your mistake and dont get down over it, it only gets better from here!

some updates,
i added some of the miracle grow I had and i guess it helped a bit, i'm not sure.
I also started to notice resin on the leaves. and I think I have a problem with spider mytes or some sort of insect. I caught two little insects chillin on the botton of on of the stems and I flicked em off. they were black and big enough to see without a magnifying glass. they havent came back ever since i flicked em off though.
it's still a very small yield, looks like its only going to be about 2 bowls but it smells like some really good stuff.

these look alot like my winter windowsill plants. im gonna try and find my camera and take pics. they aint bad for not being maintained with any effort really. just basic watering every now and then, i check on them twice a week tops!!. mostly just to water and leave. im not even rlly worrying about ph, etc. i just do this over the winter to breed some seed some outdoors.


to be honest all the plants shown arent getting enough light. same with mine. winter sun so unreliable. comes out directly like 1-2 times week for 6hr maximum. im thinkin im gonna get 1-2g per plant. lmaooo. turn it all to seed so fuck it.

i cant get over how good she smells though. i started her off from a reggies bag seed, so im actually really surprised on how the quality of the bud turned out. it really stinks like some high quality stuff, i dont understand, but hey im happy with it. =) its got kinda a grapeish smell idk i really don't know how to explain it that well but all i kno is that its stanky =)

this is about 6weeks into flower.. hows it looking? im surprised at how much better it got. i removed the diffuser from the 400w metal halide fixture yesterday so I should be getting even more light now. im supposed to let it flower for about 12 weeks right? do u guys think it will get a lot fatter by then? it still doesn't look like much bud, about a few grams, but its still more than i expected so Im happy. =)

totally better, just keep doing what you are doing... if you let it go 12 weeks and the trichomes aren't amber yet, i recommend that you let it go longer... remember, this is your first grow, for personal use... just let it take the time it takes to get finished... then if you have clones, you'll know how long it takes for the next batch... keep it up, just don't forget that your final yield is going to be less than 25% of the initial weight post trimming (water evaporation is a bitch)...
