you can clone with any part if you expose the cambium... cut at a 45% sharpe angle and scrape the other side if you like...

but we should totally talk more about making you a diy cloner or sounds like you might already have one not being used?

if you were having temp problems you can try what i did and run the pump 15 on 15 off.. keeps res @ perfect temp.. but now that winter is here i might have to run pump longer...

Hey what is a cambium?? I do have a cloner to but I stop cuz I couldnt clone right with that either + I have a cheap tubawhere that leaks when spraying, does the water have to be ice cold? Well I think where getting somewhere cuz I never cut near any cambium just the middle of a long steam and I always get root rot can that cause root rot too not cutting in the cambium area? I Edit a lil bit

Depends on your method( you can cut anywhere but always good to get a node into the medium, as this will help with the rooting process) once you cut you should put them in water( for about 5 min) so the stem doesn't get an air-bubble in it which will cause it to die! Maybe this is what is happening to yours?

Then i dip mine in a root hormone....then in your medium of choice. I use jiffy expanding pellets....i like em so far since i changed to them all of my clones have survived!

I built my own humidity dome too! I only take a few at a time....til you get it right....then you can go for more at once...once you perfect the art of Cuttings!!!

the inside of the stem is the cambiun, you sould look up some pics and threads on cloning.. i could take some pics for you i guess next time i clone..
and no you dont want the water ice cold 67 -72 around that area is where mine is and i have a mass of roots in 6-10 days

I use rooter plugs and put them in a dome. I do cut them under water then dip in clone solution. Dang so cutting near the nod dosent really mean anything? As long as when you cut you see the cambium? Im geting nervous again hey reggae I got Tons of thrreads I subs;d to on here and I read them over and over again youtube goggle all types of shit and still nothing I feel embarresed now cuz I had a couple ppl try to help me months ago to and still nothing I dont even try to ask them anymore cuz there going to laugh and say "You still trying to clone" Dame man all I get is root rot everytime. I know im doing everything right to the tee. It something stupid thats why I thought it was the nod thing, cuz I never even think of cuttin near a nod I just cut them I hear everybody say pick a spot to clone I just cut any clone that has a growing tip

I think once you open the dome for a little bit each day will help....and need to back off on the humidity after a few days. Need a constant temp too! Don't give up man! you will get it dammit if i gotta post pics step by step then it will get done....but i think regga should show you first....then I will help if needed! He does like 49 at a time!!! i only do a few....but once you get one or two down the rest will soon follow...and you will look back one day and laugh. You will then help others as that is what we do Here ....Help those who need it!

We all start somewhere and what better place to learn than here there are lots of good people here willing to help, but some not so much, just need to find the right people and regga is excellent friend to have in your corner! He will help....if he is not too busy? And we are here too so if he gets too busy then one of his buddies should be able to help you....just be patient as lots of guys have there shit going on and need a little time to get around to helping....but that is why we are here bro to learn.....I'm still learning, shit i have been doing little experiments just to see what will happen to clones and now i find out i am Monster-cropping all my cuttings and they are exploding with major branching....i just learned what i was doing after i already did it!!! See we all are learning from each other and that is why i like it here! Just have to figure out who is for Real!

thats crazy man t hat there still rotting out...
? so are the stems getting gelly like at the base and falling over.. if thats the case it hase to be from to much water in your cubes of high humidity past a few days...
you want your cubes "moist" not wet...

also don im gonna go take a few pics for you so check back in a few...

Yeah bro I swear im doing everything to the tee, hey they do get mushy and jelly still I couldnt belive it after all this reasearch I did and same results. I use rooter plugs that was my big problem I soaked them then I change that and just started to take them st8 out the bag and and put them in the tray/dome I think this time I left in to much humid for 7 days the humid was in 99% I didnt want to open the dome cuz I thought I was fuckin with them to much I only open them to spray the dome to get the humid back to 99% then close, Hey reggae what do you think of cutting at the nod you think that was a problem to cuz I never do that I just cut nice healthy clones from anywhere that had a growing tip.Thanks bro Im going to start a thread for cloning so this thread would be about SOG not cloning (sorry bout that) Its mainly for you guys to come over and help me and others I'll make it in a bit thanks again guys

Thanks for the props man,,,going back to bushes with the round that's going in this week. Actually they were supposed to go in a few weeks ago but they got to grow some more while
i put the single cola girls in. Both budrooms will have some room a little before xmas, I can fool around with my Chimera gear then. They will have about a 6 week veg by then.

Hey Don back your humidity down from near 100% on day 1 to 80s and 70s by day three or four, just spray the dome not the cuttings and only for the first three days and they should be drinking their water from the bottom of the cube or plug, not poured on top. You prolly heard all of these before but maybe one of those will help

might be the best advise yet... towards the end of conventional cloning in cubes i did the same thing misting the dome not the plants.. this would keep the cubes plenty moist and not waterlogged.. nice!!

and since im here.. check out what i was just doing...
one oz of trimmings and i got 6.7g of pure kief.. if i rub thru box again i will get about another 5g b4 i make my hash in the next couple days

Thanks bro I think the humid did kill them I had it 80-100% the whole first week. But thats what I did too I didnt spray them only the dome
