Shriveled my bud

Hey rollers I havea plant that went a day dehydrated before the final flush. I try to to give them a good 4~5 full days to dry the roots between the last 2 waterings and after the drought it lost its sappy juicy sticky stench. I also trimmed fan leaves shading buds and got crazy and trimmed some sugar leaves while the plant is still finishing. I think trimming sugar leaves before the cure opens up chlorophyll that could ruin flavor, but it smells like hay and some leaves turned moldy so I wonder if cutting leaves open creates opportunity for mold?

Does letting the roots dry until the leaves start to wilt on the last watering help use stress to produce more thc/mass or detrimental to quality(fluffy/smell)? I'm guessing there's no way to 'replump' them and noticed that it could only rehydrate so much after drying out, I'm curious about submerging them in water I've heard people do that sometimes but would figure water shouldn't touch buds.

That feeling when you lose flavor and buds turning to mold giving a migraine to trim:cuss:
