I think il be super cropping next grow whenever that is.

Makes more sense to get "even" growth.
well then you will still be LSTing your plant if you super crop, it is just another form of lst.
also it is not hard to achieve a even canopy by just tying down. if you look threw the thread their is alot of even canopies.

Im just a rookie mcpurp, still learnin'

Im finding alot of the early "winner" branches really blow up and are unstoppable until you top um. Keep in mind my experience is from 3 different seeds from p.e.

well for a rookie your doin great man. and ya i usaly top before i do any lst at all. if you top using ubs method for 4 main tops and then tie those down it is very easy to get them all the same height

nice man, i had to laugh wheni saw the fihsing weights used to weigh the branch down, its funny but not a bad idea
give a fisherman a plant and hell start hanging weights on her lmao, it really works pritty good . dif weights for dif strength branching and like christmas ornaments easy to hang and move.

Spiral Crop Of Bud: I think spiraling the stems in the same rotation, instead of towards each other like in Hobbes' method, will help to even out the canopy and spread out some of the bigger fan leaves which have become quite dense on the WoW's canopy now. I can't wait to start training the next one.

'Kush': 15 days 12/12; 41 Days Veg
It looks like I will have 8 or 9 nice tops on this one.

So this is my girl she is grown in a dwc/bubbleponics system. vegged for 3 weeks lots of lst. started flower to sex 10 days ago. she is under a 19x19 screen. its about 5 inches above the top of the hydro setup. I am wondering if I should return her to veg for a bit or if she will fill up the screen if i keep her in flower. I used pipe cleaners and cup hooks to train her and removed them when i put her under the screen today. I guess im just curious as to whether or not to keep her vegging until she fills up the screen better or if people think she will fill it up as she flowers.IMG00099-20110328-0123.jpgIMG00097-20110326-1445.jpgIMG00100-20110328-0123.jpgIMG00098-20110326-1445.jpgIMG00102-20110328-0129.jpg

I don't have any pictures, but I harvested 11 ounces dry from a super lemon haze lady that I had under a 400w hps. I had pretty much every branch tied down, it was glorious.

i would just keep them flowering, they will stretch, and they will fill in the screen, i dont know if it will be completely filled but it should be fine.
they are looking good to BTW

What up homies,
Here is an update on my current grow:

My purplekushXlemonhaze is about 2 wks from chop, and she is smelly as fhhhuck! Really excited about her, she has some very long colas and very dense buds...im thinking a FEW oz's off her.

And my 2 fem'd Nirvana WhiteWidow, the are coming along nicely, one is about 2-3 wks in flower and the other just got put in flower 2 days ago...

4 strains. Started them 80 days ago. 45 days into 12/12. Used to ghetto grow under T12's and bagseed for a year or two but this is my first grow after 5 years off. LST use in the past was minimal and mostly to control height during stretch. As you can see, my LST is far from minimal this time.

Strains:
Kannabia La Blanca
Kannabia Afroditie
Nirvana Wonder Woman
DNA Rocklock

Soil:
FFOF with 20% added perlite

Nutes:
Blue Mountain Organics 4 part system.

Lighting:
T5 and CFL Approx 8500 Lumens per sq. ft.

First up is the Wonder woman. Nice looking plant with lot's of crystals. Smell on this one is a strong blueberry aroma with a hint of skunk at the end.

Next is the Kannabia La Blanca. Biggest buds of all the plants. Initial smell is a nasty, musty, cat piss smell. But after gently rubbing it, the aroma changes to a blueberry stronger than the Wonder Woman but sweeter and without the skunk.

Here is the Kannabia Afrodite. As you can see, I've been relentlessly clipping at this one for over a week. Yeah I know, but when you're out of smoke and have nowhere else to get it, you do what you have to. I'll have plenty to get me by... Even though I've clipped it, the undergrowth is quick to fill back in and still should give me a little smoke. I've decided to take a tolerance break so I shouldn't be clipping TOO much more on this one. Classic skunk aroma here. High is obviously cerebral but is still couchlocky and will put you to sleep if you do more than a few rips.

Finally the Rocklock. They say this is an indica domanant 8 week strain. This thing looks pretty sativa if you ask me. A real leafy sumbitch. Also, 8 weeks my ass. This is going to be more like 11 weeks. Especially since I shoot for lot's of amber trichs on my plants. Should produce well though. Smell is lemony, pineapple with a very subtle pine tree smell mixed in. Very exotic smelling and depsite the evergreen tinge, reminds me of the tropics.
