Should I keep my seedlings under 18/6 or 12/12? Don't know what do to, need help fast.

It's all genetic man, you can't prevent the stretch. Best you can do is LST.

I flowered some sweet skunks at a few inches tall 2 weeks after germ. Some of them are nearly 3 feet tall.
Ok I will lst and veg for one more week then set them in for flowering,
Your super skunk was only a few inches and it grew that tall once u flowered? Were yours as short as mine? ^^ In the pics above?

All of those were flowered at the same time and roughly same size, 2 weeks after germ, 4 different strains. As you can see the end of the spectrum there is 1 super tall Northern Lights and one super short Sweet Skunk. They were the oddballs being different than the rest with the NL being short and SS being tall generally.

I don't know man I'm a noob so take everything I say with a grain of salt. There's a thousand methods of doing things I can only tell you my thoughts and limited experiences.

What are you after? Several smaller plants than less big plants? I take it you are height restricted? Personally I would top each plant twice(well actually 3 times considering the 2nd round of topping would actually be 2 tops). Wait for 5th or 6th node to top. That would give you 4 colas. That's what I'm planning to do my next round. That way you should be able to get a decent canopy of colas without much trouble LST. Of course each topping will delay your veg by quite a bit.

If you are wanting to keep them 12-18", I would switch to 12/12 sooner rather than later. I don't have much experience attempting to keep plants small, but if I were you I would search 12/12 from seed or stealth grows and you might find some helpful information. The only plants I have ever grown that finished that short were autos. Your seedlings look nice and healthy.

Thanks man, will do some research, I notice two of them had reddish brownish on the new growth? Is that ok? Or a nute deficiency? Will post pics up in a bit just wondering if its ok or bad?

I guess you can say I'm after smaller plants, but I want bushy plants? That's why I started lst them. I have maybe 3 1/2 ft of space maybe 4ft but that's the max. I will top two and see how they do, and fim all my other ones. I want more colas

Do what you want
its Your show man

But you might want to let the plants grow to maturity then take clones and flower them after they have roots big enough

I have no exp flowering a seedling so young sorry
Will try to take clones, once I find the sex. Thanks for your input CS.

I would cut back on the number of plants. That is way too many to attempt to grow in a mini fridge. Five inches is too far for cfls. I would put them an inch or two from the plant.

He is cutting down on them, one by one if he doesn't slow down. If all you got is a mini fridge then 12/12 from seed is what I would but then again I am a horrible grower, anyone here can tell you that.

Here's my resume, this morning in my

Any thing is possible but at the end of the day you got decide if you growing enough to cover ALL costs
if not you may want ti consider bumping up a notch

also just my opinion but im pretty sure mature clones will produce better for you in what you are looking. To do I know you want to make sure you have fem first :)

but chances are your seeds are fem just cause how they were made:)

the plant on the bottom look like a fun project

not hating just trying to help lol

Nice setup. If you consider that horrible, I would hate to hear what you think of mine. I'm not the best grower, but it doesn't stop me from trying to grow every strain under the sun. I grow in a shower also. It is quite convenient to have a built in drain in your grow.

The SS will stretch a lot if you flip it quick from seed, but it won't get so tall as to be unmanageable. It doesn't stretch as much from clone.

Yes, I said I was a horrible grower not that I did not have nice equipment. I've only been growing about 3 years now. So I'm not pulling the yields and I'm not diagnosing problems as quickly as I'd like. I'm still learning a lot. So yes in my book less than stellar grower. I'm getting better over time. Hopefully this new grower will as well.
