Should I keep my seedlings under 18/6 or 12/12? Don't know what do to, need help fast.

Dude im gona be brutally honest here

your doing TOO much to these seed lings

think of them as babies

you dont wana sex your baby do you ? Lol it will cause the plant to be a fag lol

thats putting it in hilbilly terms

but your really trying to do way too much too soon just let them grow as stress free as possible

especially if your trying to keep one of these for a mother plant

if not and your just doing it for smoke thats fine

but you may trigger the hermie tendencies that you fear

Im fine with you lst training them look up lst if you dont know

as to the sex?

if you wait another 3 weeks or so
till the plant is a teenager it will show you on its own

I would cut back on the number of plants. That is way too many to attempt to grow in a mini fridge. Five inches is too far for cfls. I would put them an inch or two from the plant.

Thanks for tips you guys. I took off all the little hooks that was lst some of my plants. I only left 3 since they were responding to the lst good. I only sprouted a lot of seedlings because I'm not sure if I'll get all females. I'm going to be taking about 6 if females, to my in laws house and put them in their backyard so I'll only end with about 5 or 6 plants. I lowered the CFLs to about 3 inches away. Will post pics up soonsoon

I like to blast my seedlings with 24/0. They are not in a light proofed room so 24/0 is easiest for me. Otherwise I would go 18/6 or 20/4.

I have all seedling and vegging plants on 24/0 to no ill effects. Particularly seems to help revegging plants but it's just a hypothesis

If you want to keep them around a ft tall, you want to flip them sooner than later. But you suggested they are going outside? You can surely have them taller than that outdoors... I prefer 10ft+ personally, but to each their own.

Well 6 of them will be going to my in laws backyard, maybe 8, once I determine their sex they'll be gone, should I keep them in pots or stick them in the ground? ( the ones that will be going to my in laws.) Also I take my pants out of their grow area to give them more air and sunlight, save me a little money on my electric bill. I get about 5 hours of good sunlight and then I throw them under the CFLs the rest of the time. I already see new shoots coming out of the nodes, is that good? I'll post a pic in a bit.

O ok, well what do u suggest? I want 12" to 18" plants maybe one or two colas, thinkin of topping them at the 4th or 5th node, or should I fim? Or keep lst?

It's all genetic man, you can't prevent the stretch. Best you can do is LST.

I flowered some sweet skunks at a few inches tall 2 weeks after germ. Some of them are nearly 3 feet tall.
