Should I harvest

Normally I aim for 60-70 days. But harvest for me is not about amber trichs, it's about clear trichs. In a post above I stated I take my plants when there is 10% or less of clear trichs

Every photo is literally minutes before harvest
Yep those plants look ripe and ready, nice job. That's what I want all these new growers to wait for. So they can also harvest a nicely ripened plant. You might also note that all those pictures the pistils have receeded and the calyxs appear to have swollen. The plant has all of the proper characteristics of a ripe plant. It's not still covered in fresh new growth.

Thank you. Yes all the pistils have changed colors and receded but if I harvested based on that, I would have harvested a week or so before this, I got to this point waiting for the trichs

OMG did you actually even read my post?

It's about watching the stages....

Typically Pistils receed first and then calyxs swell and then trichomes ripen.

Many new growers are trying to harvest while the buds are covered in fresh new growth. That was all of our points. They need more time to properly ripen.

Finding peak harvest is just the first step, in my religion we cannot cut a single branch until we have performed a thousond year old religious incant to mother (#bitchfacenature) from whence this earth we must return before slaughtering a newborn and drinking the finest rum from its cleaned skull to then start circling the plant and randomly fire our ak's irresponsibly into the night sky.

Only then can the full harvest begin, whole process from start to finish takes about fourteen hours depending how quickly you can get a newborn. Ive heard in the west they use a virgin but were all out of those at the moment :-)

I think the point you over think when to harvest starts some down the wrong path.

For the newer grower just find that window around peak harvest, its not like it wont be great anyway and with experience comes greater skill meaning you need to do many more harvests and force yourself to judge each high, such a chore :-)
