How do you get them to fruit?
they try and fruit on their own, but fruiting is inhibited under high CO2 concentrations (when the bags are sealed like they are). Minimal gas exchange occurs through the filter patch but allow enough O2 so the mycelium doesn't suffocate. Once you decrease the concentration of CO2 relative to O2, they mycelium uses that as an indicator to start forming fruits. Just think of a log being colonized... inside the wood the CO2 con is high, and O2 con is low. Once the log has been colonized sufficiently, pins form in atmospheric conditions on the surface (lower CO2:O2 ratio) and the mushrooms grow with access to O2.

This Cookies N Chem is looking extremely promising. I'm beyond happy with the appearance. I'm hoping it has a great effect to match.

I've heard of people getting chemovars achieving 30% THC. That would make this a great flower to press for rosin. I've really been enjoying the rosin lately. I'm typically a flower guy and like to burn a joint... but I'm trying to stop combusting as my main source of use. Really want to pick up one of those Air Vape X units... seems to be the best quality handheld vape out there right now for flower and concentrate functionality.

So do you open the bag or poke holes in it or pour it out?
We removed the bag completely. That's what I've been seeing people doing on YouTube. We read in Paul's book to let them try pinning in the bags, to the point where they looks cracked/blistered and then remove the bag and place into the fruiting chamber. This is my first try with shiitake so we'll see how it goes; fingers crossed!

That Cookies N Chem is looking amazing...what breeder is that from?
Greenpoint outta Colorado. Shit is dense AF, sticky, and vigorous. The smells started off as a doughy dessert sweet kinda thing... but they are changing now. I'm not sure how to describe it yet. Looking forward to chopping this coming weekend. Will post harvest pics. These are F1 seeds though... so there will be some variation in the seeds you receive.

Hell yeah, I might have to snatch some of their stuff up it looks awesome. I'm super excited for this Ethos Mandarin Cookies R2 I got from Cannacon, the fattest seeds I've ever seen lol they were like twice the size of most of my other seeds...also got some unreleased stuff he had for people that told him a phrase he posted on facebook lol...Its Blueberry Muffin x Mandarin Sunset, I will probably use those for run #3.

Greenpoint Seeds Cookies 'N Chem the lone female of my half pack of seeds at 63 days. Not quite ready yet, I said at week 6 she was gonna be a 10 weeker... I think I was right. So 70 days will be chop chop. Extremely dense, extremely sticky and coated with resin, beautiful colors, not too stretchy.... unfortunately it lost the sweet dessert doughy smell it had early on... now it's kinda fuely/gassy/cleaner-ish (which I'm not happy or disappointed about :|) I think this will be a good replacement for the gorilla glue (my last run of her is in flower now). Sorry the pics aren't great... not sure why they were coming out so damn blurry today. Last pic is good though, it's the nug I cut off and scoped under my 30x binocular dissecting scope. It's an oldie but a goodie... the lenses are crisp and clear.

Question regarding my lions mane mushrooms...I have my bag and made my cut, but no mushrooms are forming and most mycelial expansion is occurring in another section of the bag. Should I make an opening in that area? I’ll take pictures tomorrow.

Also, when this bag is done, how do I inoculate another log with the remaining material?
