shiny leaves?

some of my leaves look shiny or glossy. is that a bad thing? if so, how is it corrected?

If the leaves are shiny and the effect is consistent, not spotty, it is a sign of a healthy plant getting plenty of soluble nitrogen I believe. Spotty shines can be an indicator of pests. Are the leaves sticky at all? If not, no worries.

well its some of the older growth. the leaves dont looked deformed or anything, and yes the whole leaf is shiny not just spots. all the new growth has the normal flat color look so i thought something was up

That happened me with my Sensi star in my current grow and it was caused by excess Nitrogen - What strain are you growing ?
Be carefull of them leaves drying up and becoming crispy - My sensi is fucked so I cant give you any advice to fix it cause when i flushed mine it made it worst

strain is unknown, just a chron bag seed from a friend. should i worry about it now? cuz its only those few older leaves

Yeah, no biggie. As mentioned, it was close to an N overdose, at one point, leaving those leaves dark and shiny. Looks like you have that under control now, so it'll be a-okay.

the sheen doesnt appear to be your worst problem I would be worried about that curling you have there what do you feed with and how often?

i think the curling might be from a heat issue. sometimes gets to 84 deg in my room(which i know is high). this arizona heat makes my house really warm

also i am using fox farms tiger bloom right now and about to start introducing molasses

84 isnt that bad it might be over fertilization

alright i'll try 3 tsp instead of 4 per gallon, see if that helps

i have the same problem..plant is indica dominant growing with MH L 70w in a computer case...how did you fix that problem?

i recently added a humidifier o my grow room and ive notced a shiny texture starting to cover my headband. i like i i think its a good thing but idk

Looks good, just slightly too much N. Lay off the heavy N ferts for a bit, it looks like ammonium based N is antagonizing cations like K,Ca,Mg, etc.

I'm new here... but I myself noticed shiney leaves in veg room this morning and am really curious to know if I should be worried or not.. the other day I checked the ph of my soil.. not the water and it was off.. so I made a proper ph water balance with some limes and added to the plants.. do u think it was that natural phing of soil or am I over fertilizing it ?
