Sensi Star growing

First and foremost hello to everyone. I have been reading through posts for like a month now and just can't get enough of it.
Down to business I have 4 sensi star clones growing for about a week and a half now. I am looking for any help with growing these bad girls. This is my first grow so any advice would help tremendously. Thanks in advance. I should have some pics in the next couple of days.

Just advice anything from ph level of soilless mix to proper nutrient intake. I hear sensi doesn't need a whole lot of them....
Any grows that some one might have done with sensi star would be best.

Ok I dont have pictures yet but I do have some info on the setup

all 4 clones have been potted in 2gal pot
http://royalgoldcoco.com/basement_mix.html

I bought them not sure if they were from the top of the plant of bottom. Hoping it was the bottom (better growth hormones) Umm I have FloraNova Grow (7-4-10) I treated the soil-less mix with this before they were transplanted but that was the last time I feed them.
I dont have a mh light on them but it should be coming tues or wed of next week.
Wondering if I should start feeding once a week with 1/2 strength?

Ok. So I have not gotten my light set up in and the clones have been under shitty light for like a week and a half...does anyone think/know if not having sufficient light for the very beginning will hurt in the long run?? Oh and the pics I hope to have the light set-up thurs. that's what the guys at HTG told me today. I want to put up some good pics so I will do it after I set-up the light.

Happy growings to all

So I have some pics for you guys. The first one is of the clones when I brought them home. 2nd and 3rd are of plants that had soil treated with 1/4 strength flora nova. The fourth pic is of one of 1 clone that was not treated with any when transplanted. All the clones are 3 weeks from cutting.

What does everyone think??? I take criticism the right way...keep it 100 with me bongsmilie

Oh yea I thought the pictures where going to turn out better but that was hopeless.

Good luck Sensi Star was my first grow and it came out great! But mine was from seed and in soil. Good Luck to you!

Hey there Cheech Wizard thanks. By any chance do you remember what nutes worked well for veg? You are just the person I would like to chat with.... got any specifics about the grow? I know flowering is about 60-65 days.

Well, it was my first time.. I used FF ocean forest soil, I added a tiny ammount of big bloom and grow big during veg.. vegged for about 1 month, plants were about 1 ft high.. I then flowered the 4 I had for 80-83 days.... maybe yours wont take as long since you are doing hydro? For flowering I used Fox Farm nutes (Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom) as directed with the additional supplements Open Seasame, Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching... Also used Cal/Mag Plus and Liquid Karma and watered between nutes with molassass.... They came out phenominal. 2 were very similar juat drenched in crystal resin, one was more red looking with fruity punch flavor, and one was this dank purple one. All were top shelf and I was very happy. They grew very healthy and were very vigorous from day 1. They didnt stretch too much in flowering either. They were all about 2-2 1/2 feet tall.. I expierimented with FIM technique for first time on redder one and she grew like 8 beautiful colas. All yielded between 2- 3 zips each! Which I was super-psyched about. Alsohad three widow clones. all together I yielded close to a pound my first grow with a 400 watt HPS and a 31.5 inch x 31.5 inch x 63 inch homebox. My first grow is still what I consider my most successfulgrow. Since then I have had to move my tent into a stealthier location which doesnt get the same ventilation. Also, my first time I had a speaker in the tent that played Jerry Garcia all day. Dont know if the music helped but it was my best grow out of the 5 Ive done.... let me know if you need anymoreinfo

Can you explain your setup a little more thoroughly? Lights, nutes, fans etc?

Its me and my partner. The plants stay with him since its legal. I am the brains doing all the research talking to all of the helpful people here at RIU.

The lights didn't have much money to spend but thought any mh/hps set-up would be better than none... http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=47981
That is coming in tomorrow.

Nutes- This is where me and the partner are having difficulties he says he doesn't want to burn them with our Flora Nova Grow which is a 7-4-10 two part nute. So As of this past sunday he started feeding them with a 1/4 strength solution and only wants to feed once a week! I on the other hand want to gradually introduce this and another good veg nute at 1/2 strenght every other watering which is like 2-3 days. My ? with watering is if we have 2 gal pots and the clones are about 3 weeks from cuttings how much water should we give per feeding? Should we water less often or use less water and water more often....hope that made sense. lol

fan- There will be one osilating fan to help keep temps down around 72-78 during the day and hopefully keep it around that same degrees during the night.

I am working on him to get a ph soil tester to make sure the levels are around 5.5-6.5 how does that sound?

Ventalation- now here is a problem I think due to little space the plants will be kept in his bedroom. no grow box or anything like that. Really its just some space on the ground where we can get to easily. the room will have a fan running in it to keep air flow moving. Windows will be open to let fresh air in. But like I said its really just in a basic bedroom.

Ok I think that covers some of it. Anything sounds or looks funny let me know. I like to hear what the experienced growers have to say. Thanks guys.

It sounds good just there are a few things that concern me.
You are going to want to to feed your plants every third watering. Plain H2O, plain H2O, feed, plain h2o, plain h2o, feed. Keep your feeding schedule like that and your plants will thrive.
Good idea starting at 1/4 strength on the nutes, in a week i would bump it up to half strength
Also, are you planning on hooking up something for odor control? Carbon filter or ozone generator?

thanks a bunch cheech. I am not doing hydro I read that flowering was anywhere from about 55-70 days here......http://www.druglibrary.org/strainguide/Paradise_Seeds/Sensi_Star/655/index.html#g655
what blows my mind is in these reviews people were saying that this strain doesnt need all the extra nutes but if you used all those different nutes Id rather go your way. Seems kinda expensive for all those nutes but hey if your yield was fire or should I say dank then it was well worth every penny. I do have another ? for you. If you had all those nutes during flowering were you mixing them and watering with just one solution or did you use one nute with part of your watering. sorry if this sounds like a stupid ?.

From everything I read on here sounds like I am going to need some kinda odor control. I know it sounds bad but we are getting things as we need them. I just try to look ahead like two weeks so when it is time to have some certain material we have it. Tom do you recommend a certain amount of water? Or should I just go with the sticking finger half inch down and guestamating with weight of pots.

Water until there is runoff. Allow the medium to completely dry and then water again until runoff. Remember the weight of the pots when they are fully soaked and fully dry so you know when to water. They sell moisture meters at lowe's and home depot
