I think it would be useful to have a thread where experienced growers talk about nutrients, when plants typically start to exhibit signs of deficiencies, application rates for nutrients, foliar feeding, etc... Its a little confusing and I often second guess myself. Anyone else feel the same??

Point taken. I guess I will have to pick and choose the info I feel is relevant and useful. I will say I read a fantastic thread on foliar feeding on this site and I put it to use this grow. I fed my plants once through the roots and foliar fed them every other day with 20-20-20, epsom salt, superthrive and a wetting agent for 2 weeks. I have never had plants so bushy with stalks so thick. It was a great article and I am planning on foliar feeding a few times per week up until roughly 4 weeks into flower to help induce them quicker and get more nutrients into the plant on a regular basis. Just thought I would add my experience with this technique. It really worked well.

Sounds awesome... Can you tell me what wetting agent you are using? I use VHO from advanced which sounds similar to what you are doing I am not that impressed..

The wetting agent is no name, just what the hydro shop sells. They have some of their own products that they have for sale, such as neem oil and the wetting agent is another. Just make sure to spray the underside, as well as, the tops of the plants. I also include a small amount of epsom salt just to provide a little magnesium to the plant because I have had problems with deficiencies.

i know this thread is old but it helped me:blsmoke: ive got 4 plants started from seed . Skunk Kush-sensi seed bank. i just put them into 5gal buckets from 2gal pots . and have been mixing 1.3 ml /liter approx .it turns out to be 350ppm*(ish) anyhow , they are almost 3 feet . im going to flower when they are 3 feet . ive never done plants this big . and i have more hydro exp. than i do in soil(pro mix) . so far so good plants are healthy. anyone got any pointers for me since im growing trees? how high of ppm can i feed in soil ? im using RO water aswell with the sensi products AB.i feed 3 times with nutes and then once straight water. Ph is 6.3 the plants will be flowerd in a room with my 1000's . also when i switch to flower nutes would i stay with same dose of nutes or do i start with a weak dose with the flower nutes and slowly work up

If you go to the Advanced site you can use the calculator to get a recommended feeding schedule. Just plug in the size of your watering container as the res size.

The AN site says 1040ppm week 1-4 of veg for sensi A+B.....thats WAY to high from my understanding. Im trying to figure out my feeding right now. I was under the impression of 100ppm and slowly up it from there....AN site seem on a page of its own....
