Sensi Bloom a and B, Big Bud

Hello,

I posted a question about these products in another section and didn't really get any answers. I am growing in promix, and will be switching the lights to 12/12 after 2 weeks of 18/6. I purchased both sensi bloom a and b and big bud for my flower cycle and am wondering about application rate. I googled it and came across pages and pages of threads of which I read all of and encountered many different opinions. Some feel a good starting rate of mixture is 4 ml per gallon and some 8 ml per gallon. I called the tech line and was told to go to the online calculator, which I did but it seems like it is geared towards hydroponics. It has a starting mixture rate of 16 ml per gallon! This seems crazy! I am also wondering when to add Big Bud and if I have to cut back on my base nutrients to accomodate it?? Is there anyone out there who can shed some light?? I am looking for someone who has used these specific products in promix, not an opinion. I would really like to get some concrete numbers to work with. Please help me, I have been using miracle gro for my flower cycle and the results have been poor so I really wanna get this right!! Thanks in advance.

Hey man... I use Sensi in soil. I mix it at 4ML week one and then up it to 6ML for the rest of the time. Week 3 I toss in the Big Bud at 1ML for the first watering then 2ML till WK 5 then stop it. I would recommend buying a bottle of Bud Candy also, 2ML for wks 1-6 for that stuff. Good luck!

PS - DO NOT MIX the Sensi ab together! Make sure you squirt them into your water one at a time.

FINALLY!! Someone with a straight answer!! Thank you very much my friend I really appreciate the help, you would be amazed how long it took me to find out this seemingly very simple information. I am really excited about trying this product, because my results with miracle gro have been somewhat disappointing.. Thanks again

No sweat... Anytime. Miracle grow is shit. When I first started out a buddy told me to use it....So just to be sure I went to the local hydro store and the guy about it and he said and I quote "If it worked well I would be out of business!",.....this made 100% sense to me so I took it. Been happy ever since. One more tip is to really watch the tips of the plants leaves, if they turn yellow on you then back off by a ML of the Sensi. Every strain is different but I am 99% sure you won't go wrong with what I gave you! Is this your first grow?

PS- I have had a hell of a time finding info out about growing in soil. No one seems to do it. I like it cause its east...don't have to sweat burning them near as bad.

This isn't my first grow, I have several under my belt but I have never really been comfortable with a and b fertilizer. I always wanted an all in one formula. I kept thinking my results had to be something else because for the most part I was able to get through an entire crop. But as I started to look at the leaves I noticed what looked like magnesium deficiencies, phosphouros deficiencies, and the lord only knows all the others that I don't even know how to diagnose. I feel like I have temp, humidity, spacing all dialed so nutrients is the only thing it can be. So I am now willing to try a high end brand to see if it will make my life a little easier. Any other pointers you can give would be greatly appreciated. By the way its 4ml of a and 4ml of b, correct???

Yup 4ML of a and b..... Equal amounts for sure. Only think I can think of that you didn't mention is PH.... that is the only thing I can think of that cause def's...Just trying to come up with idea's....By no means is it an insult bro.... Do you use a digital meter? Maybe it is off... I have heard of them being jacked after a period of time even though you calibrate it.... What nute were you using?

I believe there is a possibility of the ph being off after a period of time. I don't use a digital meter just a liquid kit so I try to get it in range that way. However, I don't think it could be too off because I mix in 90 ml of dolomite lime per 3 gallon pot to stabilize the ph and provide calcium and magnesium. I was using a low quality fertilizer, something similar to miracle grow which is where I think all of my problems may be coming from. I feel that I have everything else pretty much dialed in, 40-60 watts per sq ft, humidity, temperature etc... So I am ready to try a high quality fertilizer to see if that solves my problem. Do you still end up supplementing magnesium during the course of a grow cycle? Do you think I should add any other products to my list or are the ones I listed good enough?

Just the bud candy to feed the buds....you can get away with just "carbo load"....but Bud Candy is "Sweet Leaf" and "Carbo Load" mixed. Do some research on those products and let me know. But you for sure need something to feed yer buds... I like Bud Candy for $30... Cheap and works and lasts forever only 2ML every feed for wks 1-6

PS - Let me know what you decide and send some pics!!!!
For sure I'll let you know how it goes. The strain is chronic, and california orange. I have some zombie clones, and avalon seeds that I haven't germinated yet because I never have and Im not 100% sure on how to do so. Thanks for all the help I really appreciate it, the information was hard to come by for soil growers and everyone seemed to have a different opinion.

PH should be at 6.3 in soil.... This is perfect. I don't do the PPM thing... Just 1ML to start and up from there. Good rule of thumb is to start at 1ML and keep going up SLOWLY until you see just the tips burn just a bit then back off.... This will make sure you are at the right amount for the strain you are growing.
Cheers!

Good point about the ph, I called the tech line and I was told 6.3 is the optimal water ph in soil. I have a question regarding big bud and over drive. Previously you stated 1 ml of big bud, is that per litre or per gallon? Big bud and overdrive are insanely expensive in my opinion at the recommended application rates. Could I get away with a different brands bloom boosting formula while still using advanced base nutrients???
