Self watering Plant pots?? Cheap on eBay

Just seen these on eBay and im thinking of buying some. They are self watering pots you fill them up with water and let them do there thing??

Do you think these will be ok for our marijuana plants will they over water them or what?

good question.... don't some plants need more water than others? how do you regulate how often it waters the plants, if thats the case? cool concept though

these are 1.2 litre pots. and so im told the smaller the pot the more water you need. im gona go and give it a try anyway.

Not enough detail, from the looks it is a wick system with a vent. You fill the bottom with water, it moves up into the plant with the use of a wick, similar to the way a gas light or tiki torch works. As long as there is liquid in the bottom the wick will draw the water when it needs it and no more. You should not be able to overwater, how cheap are they? VV

it draws up water from a reservoir... thirsty plants just mean more regular refil... its basicaly semi hydro..
I think it is also something reasonably easy to DIY.

If you are using soil, and want larger plants, you will need at least a 2-3gallon pot.
you don't HAVE to have large pots. small pots just mean more watering. FDD has pics of his plants in 1 gallon pots and they are like 5-6' tall and are perfectly healthy.
