how do i put together the simplest and easiest to use hydro system? Are there links for setups in this forum?I am a dirt grower, so if you would like to steer me in the right direction for maybe a setup that is suitable size for a 1000w mh. Any help is appreciated.

I am doing CFL's and want to do hydro flowering from dirt mom clones, I am in the same boat as you - I understand how it works and the system I want to build, I need to know: How much pan do I need per plant and how deep does the water and rocks need to be? For how long and how many times do they need to be drenched per day? I can design the whole rest of the system if I can just figure out a couple things.

this may sound stupid AZ, but I want the passive like you have, but am having a hard time getting a feel for it. Is there a better pic of your setup? Or any passive setup? I think i can make it work if I could just see a diagram or a good out shot of the system. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Perlite .4 Cubic Ft Bag x 2
Vermiculite .4 Cubic Ft Bag
Dutch Master - Advance Grow A 1 Liter
Dutch Master - Advance Grow B 1 Liter
Dutch Master - Advance Flower A 1 Liter
Dutch Master - Advance Flower B 1 Liter

Sound about right?

On the dutch master, they give you '1 liter' of stuff but is that concentrate that you mix with water or is that 1 liter of liquid for the plant?

It's also like 30 dollars shipping DAMN

Do I HAVE to buy phup and phdown right now? What other accessories should I look for?

no acceseries...i havent used dutch masters..i'd recomend the gh nutes there cheaper an will do the same thing....use the micro an bloom from there 3part system an run it like this....5ml micro 10ml bloom for veg per gallen
8ml micro 16ml bloom for flower .....no grow for eather...when mixing the gh nutes use only r/o water an mix the micro in first....then mix the bloom...the ph with this will naturally shift to 5.9ish which is where you want when feeding...then use only r/o water for normall waterings as well as that has a ph of 6.5 which is fine enough not to lock out nutes overall.....hope this helps...peace az

Yeah, I normally don't even go into with people, cause then I find myself having to defend it. I just tell people to use the GH 3 part Flora Series and don't mention that you don't really need the FloraGrow part. I've thought of using Fox Farm, my buddy at the Hydro Store swears by it, but I like to stick with what works for me. He's trying to sell me on switching nutrients atleast once during the grow, adding that it's good for the plants and I have read posts that support that - but my grows support my decision to stick with the Lucas Formula.

I am going to set up a hydro system as soon as i am done with the grow i am on. It should be in a week or two. If anyone has thoughts or ideas or pictures or anything, hook it up. I want to know a little before i jump all the way in.
