Seeds worth keeping? keeper pheno?

I had Clones of mendo breath, sour patch kids, pre-98 bubba, and sunset sherbert. I crossed them with (BufordOGxTangie).

My question is it worth it to try to find a keeper pheno or just chuck the seeds. The male used was just a random tangie pheno. I didnt really take into account whether it was high yielder, fast veg, etc. I just threw them outside with the outdoor clones.

Since im starting new seeds, is it better to find a keeper male and use those to make my own seeds ? I just want to use the seeds for my own pheno hunt.

Currently have
Firecookies x orange cookies @7Usefulseeds

Recommendations would be helpful. Thank you my brothers!

I recommend growing as many out as possible. Cull the males that show sex early. Cull every female that displays male sex traits(balls/bananas). Keep a journal, listing various important characteristics(what's important to you) regarding Day/Date, like if you discover. Some plants clone very easy while others take forever or they have woody stems/clones. You want to look for hollow stems as that trait correlates highly with superior potency plants. Weed out the bad plants. Then grow them all again from clone, some plants tend to lose potency/vigor over time. Some change odor profiles after a few months. The most consistent, with your personal tastes should be kept, but only after you go through the selection process carefully, otherwise you may wind up with some plants that look pretty, but are all-together ornamental and not what you really want. Try and avoid your confirmation bias (I love berry smelling plants- this plant is berry smelling: I should keep it) keep whatever is best after having smoked them. I generally use 20-40 seeds as a minimum for pheno-searching. Get into higher numbers like the 100's and you will require quite a lot more space to adequately judge each individual plant's traits.
