900 is fine if you are in bloom. If you start to see nute burn or you notice the plants drinking a lot of water its because the nutes are too high. Usually in bloom I liked to be 700-900 PPM but I have no experience going 12/12 from seed. To dilute your nute water al you do is take out a gallon of nutes/water and replace with fresh water re-check PPM until it reaches desired level.

Iv been doing lucas formula

Idk how many liters it is , but its right around 3/4 of a gal , almost a hole gallon my man but not quit

Its not in bloom , their still vegging my man

The dwc is not 12/12 from seed , their on 20 / 4 light cycle right now , my plants that in soil are 12/12 from seed my man

So ok for future references i want 350 - 400 ppm for veggin plants and between 700 - 900 ppm when they are in flower ?

Yeah every strain is different if you dont get any nute burn at all then you found their sweet spot.

Seedlings, Early Sprouts 100 to 250

Early Vegging 300 to 400

Full Vegetation 450 to 700

Early Blooming 750 to 950

Full Mature Blooms 1000 to 1600

ive dont know about the lucas formula man, i use advance nutes, i would defo drop your nutes, imo they can intake the nutes better when the have a fresh change and lesser nutes, remember LESS IS ALWAYS LOADS FOR PLANTS!

This shit is so frustrating

I got the ppm down to 325 and that is practically without any nutes but my ph was high

I got the ph down to 5.7 but it made the ppm go up to over 500 :wall:

Its like i cant get the ppm down unless i have no nutes at all and with high ph 6.4

But if i add a little nutes to lower ph or use my g.h ph down to get ph right its makes the ppm go up

You said those readings are from an ec tester , i dont have one of those just the ppm tester

what would the numbers be with just the ppm tester and the the ec tester ?
 
its diffcult at first to understand it mate once youv'e been doing it a month day by day you will understand it loads more.
When i add my nutes i mix them up adjust the ph and then take my reading, i will know that i am not going to get the perect ppm that i am aim for as ph will adjust it no matter what, but i have done this since i started dwc and still do, works for me :)

Im using just plain water out my faucet / tap

The ph from tap is 8.0 and ppm is 43

I just gave 1 teaspoon maxibloom , brought my ph down to 5.8 and ppm 599
 
Okay you need some chemical ph down.. that won't increase your nutrient amount just to get your ph down =/ Don't ever do that man.. that's really bad..

I have G.H ph up and down

If i use that to bring my ph down to 5.6 then i add a little nutes the ph will go further down and throw the ppm even higher

So how do i add my nutes and get the right ph without throwing the ppm way up their ?

you got to bare in mind also you have a small res and strong nutes going into a small going to boom the ppm readings up

Add your nutes first to desired ppm level since that's what you're doing now.. and THEN ph. Problem solved. Check ph again in a few hours and ph again if needed.

agreed and make sure you right your readings down that way next day you can relate to what it was the previous day, here one of mine :)

Anything will make the PPM go up, just putting your dirty hands in the water will make the PPM go up. First you must know the PPM of your plain R/O water. always subtract that and if you add cal mag to your R/O water subtract that too. So say your R/O water is 60PPM plus when you add Cal mag it takes your PPM to 250. Dont include that in your nute soup. Subtract it.

Yea i know my res is small but thats why i mix all up in a gallon container first so i dont make my nutes to strong

im trying to get this shit down so just bare with me my man lol

Ok im gonna do another gallon and add little nutes at a time till the ppm is between 350 - 400

Then ill adjust the ph up or down and see how that works out

The ppm from tap is 43

so just subtract 43 from what the ppm is afterwards ?

So if my ppm is 600 then its really 557 ?
