Hello, I'm growing two Lemon g seeds in Rockwool in expanded clay pebbles. Ph is 5.8, EC is .2, temp is 65, under a mars hydro tsw2000 23 inches from plant. This seedling was fully opened yesterday and overnight it folded back into itself and feels hard/dried out. Otherwise the plant looks healthy. The other seedling was half a day behind but is still fully open. Temp in tent got to 78

She'll open. Why havent you put her in the middle of your netpot?
They have opened and are doing well, it was my first hydro/DWC, I have two Lemon g in there and I was dumb. My thought process was that the Rockwool cubes would be more stable up against the side. I honestly didn't expect them to survive so this was more a test run than anything. How would you space out 2 plants in a net pot?

You don't. 1 plant per net pot. I mean you could in theory, but once they grow a bit they will be fighting each other for space and will become a nightmare to manage as all the roots will be intertwined and you won't be able to seperate them.
Good to know. Unfortunately roots are all around the net pot so I can't really separate them at this time or at least until my new 5 x 5 comes in. I also am not really worried about space as I just got a 6 site current culture XXL which is 13 gal and I'm just gunna switch the 5 gal I have now to the 13 gal.

I guess theoretically I could make some sort of divider for the container and have the roots grow separately from each other.

I've heard from a few people that having 2 of the same strain is fine in the same container but I'll probably stray away from that thanks!

By container, I think they are talking about the rez, as in dwc the plants are sat in the same rez.

For example I did my DWC in a 120L rez, 3 plants total, 2 the same and one differnt strain. It wasn't a show stopper, but it added some complications in terms of feed and PH concentration as you cant make it Ideal for both strains, so you kind of have to strike a happy medium for both.

But 2 plants in one net pot will be problematic if they go to maturity, not just in terms of managing the foliage, but the roots will bust through the pots too, 2 of my net pots got broken with roots comming out searching for water, so with 2 plants in one pot yu can pretty much guarentee the pots will get broken at some point.

i really like coco now for my needs but being ex-rdwc, that root porn is crazy!!! big roots, big fruits
But as you can see there's some necrosis/disease on the brown/black parts of the roots, it doesn't matter now as I've chopped them down, but once you get rot, you'll be fighting it the whole grow.

Yup. Current grow is first time with 2 plants different strains. Debated putting them in 1 container but went for 2 separate buckets. Glad I did. One girl is happy at 400 the other is sucking up nutes at 700 and rising. If they were in the same bucket I'd be massively over or underfunding one of them. Keep em separate I say.
