Dwc and rockwool

I've always been under the impression that in Dwc with rockwool and clay pebbles you basically have to feed from the start.
I'm now being told that's not correct and I should wait until it has its first true leaves or proper 5 fingers

Usually after just a few days I start light, around 100-200ppms.

My seedlings are a little sick and I need clarity on the matter because I don't want them getting worse.
If by looking at the pictures that you think there showing signs of overfeeding then I can return to just tap water. If I'm underfeeding then I can increase the EC.

I gave them 100 to 150ppms first feed after about 4 days in the buckets with just tap water because i thought it was time , the water here is hard as shit and comes out at 0.56ec some days

After a day I noticed slight discoloration/marbling look on the bigger of the 2 and the smaller seedling started to look pale with red stems.

I lowered ppm's to under 100 and I'm not really seeing any improvement.
It's been a couple days now , EC and pH has stayed the exact same , there tiny so I can't and don't expect to see differences overnight.

My humidity is really low this time 28% today , can that cause major issues

The smaller seedling is fruit tree and sativa so the red maybe just genetics , the other one is GHS church.

My pH in both buckets is stable @5.75
Res temps 24c today
Tent temp 78f

What are those NetPots?! I've never seen ones with holes like that. It's very interesting.
But as for feeding, you can really do what you want with nutrients. You've got roots coming down and into the bucket. What are you using for nutes?

Thanks for the reply Airwalker.
The netpots I got from Amazon. I can provide a link at any point if desired.

If my EC would drop or rise then I'd know where it needs to be but right now the EC hasn't moved.
I'm feeding Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur.
In total 2ml each part in 17 litres of water and they either don't like it or want more

If I remember correctly the netpots were for pond plants. Maybe that's why they look different.

Those AN nutes are organic and shouldn't be used in DWC.

wa

what's your EC/ppm? and pH?

be more specific. is that a 3 part, 2 part, what other additives, etc?
Tap water Ec before nutes 0.56 after nutes 0.69 so 0.13 nutes in Res.
pH in both buckets are 5.75 and both pH and EC have stayed exactly the same for over 24hrs ,more like 36 now.

Very hard water here in the UK where I stay
I know you're going to say get ro water and that my tap is shit but it's all I got and can get for now until the system I want is available again from Amazon.

It's 2 part connoisseur grow , I added 2ml each part with 3ml rhino skin and 5ml sensizyme , 1ml tarantula and 1ml carboload.

Thanks for taking the time to reply bro

Could the 0.56 tap water be too much? And do you think it's that high that it may be possible to grow without nutes for a bit longer than I actually did?

LOL you read my mind!!!
hmm,it's gonna be difficult for you for sure.

yes, .56 is about .2 higher than what i would feed them at that stage. i like about .2 to .3 EC for seedlings (nutes only)

not sure what to tell you. you could foliar spray with some cal/mg which might help. hard to tell if they need N or Mg. or both.

where is your water level at? is the rockwool getting wet any more? or is the level below your netpots?

You should just settle for another RO system man. there's dozens of them that are all great on Amazon. If you're waiting for it to come back in stock, filters probably do the same thing and that's a bad thing. That's the reason I went with whirlpool. I know they're filters will always be available

Water level was touching the bottom of the pots until 2 days ago bro, I took out a few litres and now it's about 2-3in below the pot. The cube is just slightly damp.

The fruit tree was drooping her leaves and after I reduced the water level she straightened herself back out within a few hours so I guess I was drowning her for a couple days before I realized.

I'm not seeing typical nute burn but with connoisseur I've noticed from a previous grow that you can overfeed drastically without burning the crap out the leaves.

I'm not sure either buddy , I guess it's just a waiting game for now until they get bigger and start feeding harder.

I will look on Amazon tonight and on Thursday when I next get paid I will see if I can get hold of an under sink filter system.

Any recommendations for systems under a hundred pounds.
I saw a 3stage filter 50gpd for about £50

if buying a RO system isn't an option, can you buy RO water from stores nearby?? at least until they get bigger.

I'm going to order this on Thursday so I should get it for Saturday if you think it will do. The reviews mostly say it did well in reducing the ppm's of there Tap water.
1 person said it took his 250ppm tap water down to 20ppm. Another said it took 150ppms down to 10ppms

I may be able to source purified water but haven't searched for it yet so can't say for sure but dry.

@Airwalker16 knows more about RO than me. I used to buy it at our local Walmart when i was starting out. Finally switched over to our well water.
Currently I'm living in England and the water here is very hard , previously I lived in Scotland where the water is super soft.
I never had any problems in Scotland lol.
England water is 0.5-0.7ec
Scottish water is 0.1-0.2ec

Thanks again for trying to help , I understand it's difficult giving advice when you know there using something that's throwing everything else outa whack.
Once I get the system am I right in saying I need to add approx 100-150ppms of cal-mag first before nutes and add-ons?

i usually just go by the directions on the label. for calimagic by GH it's 4mL per gallon ( i think?) and then nutes.

and yeah, i remember chatting with you about England v Scotland water quality.
