Seedling not showing sex

I started three seeds. Two are female. Two weeks later the third plant isn't showing sex. Will something happen eventually or do some seeds never show sex?

A plant from regular seeds. Two of them showed at about 4 weeks. Two weeks later the third plant still isn't showing.

I usually use feminized seeds so I don't have a lot of experience with this.
Meh. Just let it go, it'll show eventually. Even if it's a male they have to get pretty mature to pose any sort of risk to the females.
Have you switched the light schedule or are they autos? Are you just wondering about it showing preflowers before flip to 12/12?
I basically only grow regular seeds and have far less fem experience. I have had some plants take forever to show compared to other plants. It can be male or female in my experience, and you just have to wait it out.

Yes looking for preflowers. I should have been more specific in the OP. Thank you, I'll keep it around and see what happens.

If you started 12/12 before the onset of full maturity flowering response could be delayed. Sometimes the longer it takes the better as hydroDan is saying the boys typically show up first.
I see people flip at 4 weeks. Was under the impression they do that to shorten life cycle and retain smaller manageble plants. Was going to try it myself on a plant I care lesser for. If you mean to a unworthy extent, I would like to clarify.

Unless you're planting into a bed I wouldn't worry too much about it, you can always yank the pot a few days into 12/12 if you're not sure. It takes time for the sacks to drop and open.

Sure some growers start 12/12 from jump street but that doesn’t mean the plants will show sex right away. Some strains need 6+ weeks to become mature enough to trigger a flowering response. A short veg cycle usually results in small ass plants with small ass buds but then again that’s what some growers are aiming for. An army of tiny ass plants could add up to a decent yield. Stunting a plant on purpose doesn’t make much sense to me but hey maybe you got limited space.

Interesting, did not see much on this or broken down in laymens terms, thank you. I do see people do it, perhaps they know their strain but yea. I waited since I found much more on this saying to wait 60 days or pistols.

Why not take cuts, place them in a cup of water under 12/12 light. You can do this early to determine sex & cull any males ahead of pre-flowering the main plant. It could save a lot of time, energy & resources to wait for it to happen naturally. You may as well wait this one out, but next round it should help. I do it any time I pop regs.
This one has been in water for about 3 weeks. F392C3C1-034B-452D-84C2-C8BC083308B0.jpeg5371120B-A92D-4E40-A083-8375FD74CCDB.jpeg

Similar to what i do, root cuttings in water, put them in a dark bucket 12/12 but still in the veg room. They show in a couple days then cull any males.

There's a lot of good pics that will help you online. Once you learn it it's easy. Briefly. The male will grow balls right at the point where the future fan leaves will be. It takes 3 to 6 weeks to show. The female will only show 2 whiskers at the same part they are green and only the male may have both.
I've Been through that. Hope I can help.
