Thank you Faded, for teaching us new things, and for corroborating my conjecture on a few points...that was satisfying.
But not as satisfying as successfully, selectively pollinating one branch on a girl. I flowered her out until very ripe, looking more for a couchy effect, as I didn't expect my pollination experiment had worked.
Twelve seeds dropped out as I trimmed her after drying the entire plant.
In nature, these seeds would get moistened when they hit the ground, and germinate immediately, so I followed that cue, and soaked them immediately in coconut water (from a fresh coco not a can). White root tips appeared the next day. 5 of 6 beans popped and are growing well.
I'm a long way from selecting traits and developing strains. But I'm thrilled to have seeds because they are expensive and risky to buy! An it's nice that these were a "home birth". Thanks again for sharing your vast and comprehensive knowledge

I'm interested in breeding with my current plant. I like her growth and the high she produces. I have cloned her. But, I'd prefer to have some seeds too. Only thing is. I don't know what she is. The only thing I do know is that she takes at least 2.5 months to flower.

I'd love to get some Auto in the mix. Or something Sativa. Any suggestions? Or places that do male pollen?

I'm in Australia. Probably makes that a bit harder. Uh- and I don't really know too many people that grow. Those that do. Rip at the first sign of being male.

Twistytreatseeds used to offer pollen. Not sure anymore.

I'll look into it. Cheers Jay.

-edit- looked through their pages. They've literally got nothing to sell. All items are out of stock.

Just followed your tutorial with unwanted sunshine daydream males, I picked 1 Which looked like a lady boy with it's short nodes and was bushy af, I pollinated psychosis, I'm hoping that the yield will go up as she's not much of a giver but quality smoke, I rate this psychosis as the stinkiest weed I've ever grown nothing comes close not even the bodhi strains I got match the smell lol
