Seed ordering questions.

  1. How risky is it to order seeds to your home address?
  2. How risky is it to order seeds with your visa credit/debit card?
I know the potential risks to ordering seeds but the question really is - has anyone really been busted in this way? I've read threads that people got their seeds confiscated and received letters saying their package contained contraband...but did the DEA come and bust their door down? I was going to order from Attitude and I really can't see the DEA busting down my door for a $50 purchase of 10 seeds lol...what do you guys think? I ask because I really don't feel like ordering them to a different address. If its a risk I'll just stick with my bagseed, it would be nice to grow 2-3 different "known" strains though...

Anyone experienced ordering please give me some advice / insight :)

:joint: Thanks! :joint:

"How risky is it to order seeds to your home address?"

If you're from the US I wouldn't do it, the zealots might do a mail grab sometime. From Canada I wouldn't worry if you're growing for personal use and no one knows about your grow. If you're growing commercial you should never have supplies delivered to your house. It's not so much the risk of being caught to worry about as the penalty.

"How risky is it to order seeds with your visa credit/debit card?"

Again, the same as above - but it's much simpler and safer to get an international debit card (Mastercard, Visa) from your nearest convenience store.

"has anyone really been busted in this way?"

Like you, I've never read of anyone.

"but did the DEA come and bust their door down?"

No, just kept the seeds. But I'm sure their names went on a list, and it's not good to be on some lists.

Get a mailbox, have them delivered to a friends place (but this informs your friend that you're growing). The way I look at it the two biggest causes of being caught are smell and not being able to keep your mouth shut. Seeds being traced to you from an established seedbank is way down the list.

Hi, I have been ordering seeds online for quite some time now. I have used several different seedbanks, all with my credit card. So far, I have received every package without a problem. The DEA is busy trying to keep tons of drugs from making it across the border. They dont have time to come chasing some guy that bought some seeds. So, if you are keeping a low profile in day to day life and not telling a bunch of people that you grow, you should be OK. Good luck to you man.

I have been ordering seeds from Nirvana for a few years.Always used my credit card & address.Out of the 5 orders all 5 came with no problems.I figured if the fed's were gonna bust me? The door would have come off by now?Just NEVER grow @ the address your seeds are shipped to.My seeds are always taken for a 45 min ride to their new home.NEVER any problems so far.Last order was 10 Bubblicious,10 Papaya all 20 germed and are healthy as could be.Alot of people do not like Nirvana. But the quality has always been there when I have ordered.Good luck & happy farming.

DEA for a small order? No, not going to happen.
Customs notifying local law enforcement of an intercepted seed delivery - very small chance - but it has happened.
I seem to see this question asked quite a bit lately. I posted this account on another thread, but I think this info is important, so I'll repost here. With a bit of context, this doctor had done multiple repeat orders, and reordered to his home location even after having seeds orders grabbed by customs.

COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Police say an intercepted order of marijuana seeds prompted investigators to arrest a Columbus doctor and his wife on drug possession charges, RTV6 reported Friday. Investigators found more than 30 marijuana plants in the home of Dr. Arnaldo Trabucco and Pamela Trabucco, police said. Authorities searched the home after customs agents in Chicago intercepted a package of marijuana seeds from England. Police said they believe the Trabuccos had ordered the seeds on the Internet. The case will be examined by the Bartholomew County prosecutor's office, RTV6 reported.

now that's just bullshit. The only reason that they even looked into it was because it went to a doctors address and they knew it would make headlines. Pigs are smarter than your average swine that we eat from the deli for lunch my friend. That being said you'd think a doctor would take some precautions after going through 8 years of school and not fuck up his life and career forever.

Interesting story about the Dr. I figured that the worst case scenarios is that customs finds the seeds and notifies local authorities. I've read attitude has great stealth shipping options though...I think I will order to another address just to be safe though. Thank you guys for all the info, very helpful and much appreciated!
