Seed Addiction.. seems to be becoming a thing for me

What is that, though? Perlite? I wonder if growing in rice would be a fruitful experiment. Did it with shrooms.
Yep, perlite. I wouldn't think rice would be a good medium for weed, as it expands with moisture, is starchy and sticky, and in that state probably wouldn't have sufficient air gaps. Maybe attract bugs, too. I haven't researched, just a guess...

Yeah, I'll probably leave it for psilocybin incubation.

Well, my Blueberry babies are doing quite well, especially for just being under a couple of cfls. As you can see, I am attempting to save 2 of the 3 seeds on which I had previously given up. They are still growing, slowly. Those are just a little experiment to see if they make it, I don't really care. Another couple of weeks and I'll snip, clone, and flower these babies, and see who's best...

Being addicted is a terrible thing. You just can't control your life and that's terrible. And if you think that you are becoming addicted, it's the right time to visit https://addictionresource.com/treatment/ just to find some information about the addiction and treatment.
U dug up a two year old thread about guys who're really into buying new strains. You didn't even read the thread and added a post about drug addiction. Amiright? You should go back to weedcity.
I'd hate to tell you about my seed addiction. Your head would probably pop off.

Just another sock puppet of someone who posted on this thread once upon a time and is addicted and not taking his own advice, le sigh.

So I've always drooled over strains on seedfinder, drooled over rumors of clone only cuts going around,
salivated at the idea of stealth packaging defeating customs,

As I've gotten older I've had the luck to have had a large bagseed collection and used and lost it and then also to have had friends gift me small piles of their own breeding with and/or with out known named gear.

So I've got the bug. Every bag seed I get, I bag and label with the date found, the source of the bud and the mother strain.

I've also been unable basicly to stop searching seedbanks for prized strains that I haven't had or have dreamt of having.

And for such a few amount of genetic such a decent chunk of change goes out, other wise this addiction wouldn't be such a problem.

I start to want to collect seeds from every one of my favorite flowers and then start tracking down all the crosses.
I'm gonna have more seeds than I can grow in my lifetime at some point.

Do others suffer this affliction?

How do you treat it?

Had any surprises in your seed collecting?

Also, do you feel differently about seeds made at home by people using name brand gear?
I've been on the 12 step seed addiction program since I recieved a pack back in 82'
I know I will always be an addict.

Im convinced that I'm an addict. Now i have the itch again. Back in 2010 I purchased my first pack. It was a Barney's pack. Then 1 month later i did another 2 packs then a week later. Until I had bought about 3,000 usd worth of seeds. I had more seeds than I could run in 7 years. I really had to take a hard look in the mirror and decided that I was going to quit. I stopped buying in late 2013. Hadn't bought since till August of this year. Now I'm back off the wagon.

Yup. You have it bad, let me know the gens your looking at next...
Got some Inhouse genetics Sugar cane, Cannarado genetics Nilla wafers, Green point seeds, Purple punch, ghost town, pioneer kush, bisons breath, city slicker. Haven't grown out any regs in a while but might try to cross breed. See if I can make my own seeds.

Nizzzzze. Sounds like fun. You ever tried making beans in veg? Great way to test crosses without committing to a flowing cycle.

No have never tried making beans. I did let some strains go a little longer and got some beans from them. Still got some. Lavander and violator kush somewhere.
