B. if you put in to hydro what you have put into the soil growing you would get amazing results. if it's not going to cost you and you have the extra time i say go for it.

Wonder if you can use apple jucie in DWC i don't think it would do any harm if you only ran it for 2 weeks and changed a couple of time.

think i will try it on one of the hempy's (thats if they are female)

you could probably get away with apple juice in a DWC system. A true aero system (or even hybrid) it may cause problems. Just watch to make sure the airstones do not get clogged or things start growing. Stuff like bacteria and other little creatures LOVE sugar!

i have done nothing today to the plants they have not got any more burn.

i will have to transplant the soil plants soon they are getting to big for their pots except the mutant. which is still alive and is now growing nodes.

Nice work, Kulan. I really like DWC.

You have alot going on in a tight space. Might I suggest next time get some 10" net lids for your buckets, so you can do a couple in each bucket. 1 per bucket is kind of a waste of space, and alot of water.

I'm guessing you don't have lots of vertical space, so keep those lights close and they'll get bushy instead of strechy. :blsmoke:
 
thanks Drdank yep it's gonna get tight in there but i can lose the Air cooler and use the back of the room, once i go into flowering i think i will manage.

firstly i am sorry i did not post a update yesterday. RIU was giving me error messages, so i am not going to do yesterdays update

hi all i am going to keep this short again,

been very busy to day.

ph in pots 5.7-5.9 i am leaving this

temps today have been constant 74 the temp is now reflecting the outside temp+ 4-6. res temps at 70-72 i am very happy with these temps.

so with the temps being so good i have decided to put a forth light in

i have fitted a 150w M/H light to the door at a fixed hight. i shall see if the temps remain good tomorrow if they do i will make a better fitting for the light.

i have no pics from this morning as i was out most of it.

here are a few pics taken after i had finished re-potting and fitting the ligth.

i hope the temp stays around 74 i think this ligth is going to help.

i have a dilemma i want to keep the soil grow, but now i have sat in there i have come to realise that i am going to have problems,

1 kid's off school for 4 more weeks to much to do running both systems with that meny plant.

2 having vast amounts of water ready for both systems is a problem.

3 i need assess to the back of the room to fill the air cooler. and moving all the plants out is not an option any more my grow is confined to that room now.

so you see i have to get rid of at least 4 of the soil plants to make it workable.

urban mist lives near me i will see if he wants the plant's i would rather give them away than cut them down.

this grow was more about the hydro anyway but i will be sad to see them go.

on a good note C# if find the 2 remaining soil plants will get better attention and i will be trying molasses and the apple juice which should be fun.

but the room is filling more than expected, the hydro grows are just taking over i was saying i am going to get rid of some plants, i was going to get rid of 4 soil, now i am thinking i will get rid of maybe all the soil plants and just do hydro. i am thinking i will plant the soil plants outside some were, i don't think they will survive the winter but i don't want to just cut them down. i will update with pics later.
 
Hey kulan hunter - well, I just finished reading through your new grow journal and have thoroughly enjoyed it ;) Your journal is a splendid piece of work and your set up is truly amazing as are those plants. I can't believe how quickly they're growing and how dense they are - WOW!!! The way they're going I think you're going to need a bigger room LOL. I can see why you're liking hydro. Will watch this one with interest. Keep up the excellent work mate ...
 
thank you GreenB, glad to see you again, i have had the same problems with RIU, database error. i am a bit sad at needing to get rid of the soil plants, but that's how it grows.

i have made my mind up now though, the soil plants have to go, all of them i need the space, these plant are putting my last grow to shame. all the soil plants will be out of my room before morning.
 
hi all

so today i got rid of 5 of the 6 soil plants they have gone to new homes.

i now have left 4 DWC hydro, 2 hempy hydro and the little mutant in soil

ph is a bit high today it's 6.2 so dropped it to 5.8

the temp has risen to 80 its a bit high but the plants have gone mental for it, so i am now trying to get the temp down using other fans and if it comes to it i will start adding ice packs to the air cooler, but if it stays at 80 i think it will be ok

res temp 72-74. bit warm but not too bad

so i am thinking of doing my first full res change tomorrow, i think this is the worse bit about hydro i can see things going wrong,

the roots have wrapped them selfs round the air line so i am going to have to be careful.

so that's it i can now move the plants to the side of the room, and get to the back
 
Nice kulan hunter, looking much more manageable for you now. Shame you had to get rid of all those plants, but I don't think you're going to be short of something to smoke when this grow is done LOL.
 
GreenB: no this grow is amazingly different from the first soil grow. i did not expect this much more growth. i know it would be a bit quicker but this!, they are turning in to monsters. i think i am going to have to flick them to flowering over the next week or so.

Hothousemary: now the plant has gone through puberty it has decided it like to shave and be smooth (kinky lil mutant). lol
i have had a few P.M's about the freddy thread all good and a few people have rep+ me for it, i think RIU was waiting for a bit of comic relief.
